Congratulations on the new building. Much improvement needed in Academics, but great help for ESL students who go from no English to graduating with scholarships within years of enrollment.

I rate this school a five star because it has great and cooperative teachers the programs are great. Also that they're are after school programs to teach student and parents learn English and get them better education. It's the best school ever! The only problem we have is that the school is small we need more space. And UA ALL THE WAY!!!!

First, the staff is very dedicated and genuinely concerned about student success. Second, the lunches are homemade and are excellent. In addition, there is technology implemented throughout the curriculum to keep students current. Each classroom gets computers for the whole class! There are also tablets available and the teachers have many of the classroom materials that they need.

Universal Academy is a small school. All teachers try their best to collaborate with one another. Some students careless and not listen to their teachers. As far as the admans, barely there is any communications and you would get lost between what they exactly need or want from you.

Universal Academy is a unique school in the city of Detroit. It is very welcoming to English language learners, especially those who speak Arabic. It is planning to build a brand new facility next year. Universal Academy is a k-12 school, with small class sizes, a large tutorial staff on board, dedicated teachers and administrators, and a commitment to quality education. The students are full of life and bring a wealth of cultural diversity with them. I see that Universal Academy families have much hope for the future and will work towards creating a successful path. High school students get the rare support of counseling and assistance in moving ahead to college, with scholarship opportunities researched and attained for many. Submitted by a teacher

It was a very hard adjustment coming to this school. The facility is used to the best use possible, but it was not meant to house a school. Some of the students were very helpful, but there are a majority of the students that could care less and don't listen to anyone, including the admiinistration.

Universal Academy has a very rich and diverse environment. The school is well maintained and organized. They are very detailed when notifying parents on future plans with the students and school projects. Their learning environment is one of the best I have seen. Every child is given a great and equal chance to succeed at the highest level. The working environment at Universal Academy is amazing. Staffs are very committed to their job, administration provides teachers with great mentoring, and the principle is running the school on a student s first point of view, with recognition that teachers are leaders of education.

Universal Academy is a grea school because it has a safe environment that I did not see in other schools. Education is great . Universal Academy offer variety of programs that help all students and special the new comers. Counselors help students getting scholorship, and the keep track of their students until they graduate from the high school. They have good teachers who stay late to help students. Principal keep in touch with the staff to be sure that everything is going right. The school has a good technology which support learning 21 century. It is a clean school, but it is small to fit elementary and secondary at the same time. Their food is wonderful and healthy for students. Administration, and coordinators work together to help teachers processing the reqirements.

PROS: they teach really great, most people are nice, & its a safe environment. CONS: don't have good sports, does not feel like a regular high school, no homecoming, no proms, no type of school dances and No diversity at all ! the school would have been really nice if we were treated like actual high schoolers... people want to graduate and have their high school memories
