Was a wonderful school for our children in a small classroom environment.

We've been in this school for 4 years now and have 2 children in school here. There has been a change in leadership at this school and I feel like we've seen some positive changes in a short period of time. This school has lots going for it including: excellent facility, technology, experienced teachers, a very supportive PTA, and a positive atmosphere. Something that troubles me is that the during the time that I've monitored this school test scores have slipped. This school used to have a 6 rating and now is a 4. Much of the achievement gap seems to be in minority and economically disadvantaged students. In discussions with the principal about the new lower rating I felt like there were satisfactory systematic interventions in place to assist low performing students. At the same time as a parent of 2 high achieving students I feel like there are more opportunities for enrichment that are missed because of time spent with students with needs. I'd like to see an analysis of equity in interventions for students at all points in the spectrum with an aim of more equal distribution of resources. I do like the school but in the most recent school year 2017-2018 the school lost teachers because enrollment is down, that means class sizes went up.
