We have/had 3 kids at MPB, all starting at the ELC, and have been delighted with the education and formation our children have received. From an engaged and unique community, to a dedicated and personalized teaching experience, our children have been able to thrive academically, spiritually, and socially. Bonus: the transition for our oldest to a large and academically challenging public school has been smooth, credit to a very solid foundation built at MPB.

We absolutely love this school! Our family couldn’t be happier with the education our children are receiving. The teachers and principal are outstanding—truly dedicated to helping each child grow academically and spiritually. The small class sizes ensure that students get the attention they need, and we’ve seen our kids thrive in this nurturing environment. The community is warm and welcoming, and we love the strong foundation in faith that the school provides. We feel incredibly blessed to be part of this school family!

We absolutely love MPB for our first-grade daughter! From the moment we joined the school, we felt welcomed into a warm and supportive community that truly cares about each child’s growth and well-being. The teachers are incredible—patient, dedicated, and passionate about creating a nurturing learning environment. Our daughter has blossomed academically and socially, and we’ve seen her confidence grow each day. Beyond the classroom, the sense of community at MPB is unmatched. Families are engaged, and there’s a true partnership between parents, teachers, and staff to ensure every child thrives. The values of kindness, respect, and faith are woven into everything they do, creating a school culture that feels like an extension of home. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at MPB and are so grateful to be part of this amazing school!

This is a great school and community. Despite what some other reviews say, you can be as involved as you and your family would like to be. I know of several non-white Catholic families that are involved and like the school and community. Teachers all seem to care and are willing to communicate and help with kids individual leaning needs. I have two kids at the school and have different needs and those needs have been meet or exceeded by the school. If you want a place where your kids are cared for this is a great place to look.

The school did great during covid and kept the kids in the classroom without taking unnecessary risks. Now I feel that there's a hangover that the school needs to address. Basically the kids are in school only 4 days a week with a few exceptions (friday half days don't count as a full week of school for me). It gets to the point where I can't remember a week when there was 5 full days of school. If both parents are working how is this going to work?I feel that the academics at this school is pretty light. I've heard about issues with the teachers experience. Advanced kids are not getting enough instruction on their level. The school only makes self paced electronic lessons available for half the year. Which is frustrating for the advanced kids. The sports programs are great though.

Bullying from both students and teachers alike. Quite frankly it’s been one thing after another with no real guidance or management from teachers or office staff. Our student is reprimanded on a daily basis on small insignificant things, such as being told not to ask a question whereas questions from other students are welcome. When having felt emotional about a situation was told to “get over yourself”. Seems like if your family regularly donates and attends service your child will receive the respect and help they need, if not then good luck. The last two years have been a nightmare.

    1. Bullying - Little girl kept kicking my kid prior year just to get my kid to do what she wanted. Adult aftercare told her to stop & reported repeated incidents to VP whom just told her to handle it. How? They're not allowed to do anything. Little girl started again in new year. I guess if you're white it doesn't matter what you do to a minority. 2. Learning Differences - ADHD & HFA - learned from aid, not teacher, that she was forgetting just after told. Why wouldn't you tell me so that I could work with her? Tried to underwrite an Individual Education Plan to adjust for her disabilities and to keep her from peeling skin off her finger tips, which they never noticed. Added fidget ring. Yet, despite addressing at onset of next year, instead of giving her more time resorted to time testing her. Through her studies with me over the summer this stopped. The time testing set it off again. When they thought I might pull her, I noticed all A's; yet, homework was primarily F's without noting which problems were wrong. 3. Character - kid knows right from wrong, VP played down stealing incident, going through desks. A few weeks into the new year it happened again. Teacher new and nominated her for a citizenry award from the mayor and chief of police! When I asked why, answer was non-sensical. I even said to wait a couple of months. VP unyielding. Parents and law enforcement agreed with me. This while I am trying to teach her the ten commandments. 4. Leadership - VP would read stories on how to be a good person; yet, I had to answer questions about why MPB staff doesn't love all people for who they are...specifically, picked up on references to gender issues because it would include her sibling. 5. Teachers - kids are supposed to read 20 minutes a day. Teacher borrows her next book in series??? My kid stops reading because he has the next in the series. Doesn't circle misspelled words or incorrect problems for her to review. Have to ask to take books home to study or complete work. 6. Homework - had to request it to come home to find out. OUTCOME: Pulled her to place in a school that upheld no bullying, IEP, helped her set-up computer programs not working at MPB, afterschool tutoring. MPB response was to retaliate by calling social services and having an autistic asked if she wants to go to foster care. How very humanistic of them....not. Kid never wants to go back as VP wouldn't answer her if VP had called. Flourishing now

My experience with this school has been miserable. It is teachers like the ones at this school that give the entire Catholic Community a bad name. I would not reccomend this school to anyone that actually cares about the well being of their child.

MPB is a great school community that we feel lucky to be a part of.

Excellent. I have 3 children - boys and a girl- all are doing very well. We have been at MPB since preschool and in our 10 years experience at MPB we could not be more pleased with the administrators, teachers, support staff, fellow classmates & parents. MPB is a very special community and we feel grateful to be here.

We came to MPB in third grade and even though the circumstances that brought us here were less than ideal, we could not be happier. This school and community have been an absolute blessing. We are so fortunate to have found this gem.

Wish we would have started at MPB sooner. Moved our oldest kid there for middle school because of the small size and focus on high school prep and then moved our younger kids because we had such a great experience with the community and education.

Most Precious Blood talks a big game, but their actions don't reflect the words being spoken. We were told this was a loving, Christian environment where our child would learn strong values, but that is not what occurred at all.

Our experience at this school was extremely poor. The community especially the administration is unwelcoming and very judgemental.

We have had a fantastic experience at MPB. The teachers have not only given my students a great educational foundation, but also helped teach my kids to always strive to be respectful and compassionate people. The community is supportive and loving and has helped raise my kids - now in middle school at MPB and in high school.

If the best years of your life were high school, you will fit right in. The community is very cliquish. MPB is similar to a union. The longer you are there or the more kids ($) you have at the school, the more you are able to get away with. There are a lot of dysfunctional things that happen at this school, but the administration does nothing to fix it.

I wish I could give this school a zero. The leadership team at this school are extremely dysfunctional which greatly impacts the children’s abilities to learn.

If you want your child to learn good Christian values, this is not the school for you.

Enter your child at preschool or don’t at all. The principal and asst principal are more worried about hitting enrollment than protecting culture and “fit” for the school. Be wary of the sales pitch up front. Because it will come. Bottom line - if you have a typical kid and want a typical experience than this is your place. If you have anything outside the norm - can’t be in the classroom every day, learning challenges - run, don’t walk from this place. Ps. The other parents are catty and in cliques. Enjoy that.
