This is been an absolutely wonderful school for my daughter! We will be sad and excited all at the same time when she moves on to 1st grade. She has learned so much academically and socially in this environment. She has the ability to focus on tasks from start to finish, is already reading at a rather high level and is very independent. These children are cherished as individuals at this school. My daughter has also learned how to respect others and this is taught and highly valued at Garfield. The children here learn how to deal with problems and interactions with others and take responsibilty for themselves at a young age. It's been a wonderful experience and the director and teachers are exceptional.

Garfield Montessori is an excellent school. The environment is peaceful, nurturing, and filled with activities that foster inquisitiveness. The staff don't just focus on helping kids meet developmental milestones -- which is important and they do very well. But they also empower the children to be passionate about learning. As a parent, this is one of the things I value most about the school. I highly recommend it!

Great schools like this one are built with leadership and fundamentals. The principal of this school is a phenomenal leader. She holds herself accountable to the highest standards and follows through on delivering what's promised. The teachers follow her example and carry it to the classroom. They teach with clarity of purpose, authenticity, and expertise. When I am at the school, I'm always stunned to see the children holding themselves and each other accountable for learning, even in pre-K! The kids are focused, inquisitive, and motivated to learn. If you're looking for a great school, I encourage you to consider this one.

My son has been attending GMS for the past year and has shown tremendous progress in his speech, identification, and math skills. He started at 2.5 years old . He has attended other schools and GMS by far has been the best experience and has given him a safe and comfortable learning environment. He will stay through kindergarten. I recommend this school to every parent who is interested in seeing their child grow in education as well as their social skills.

My daughter started at Garfield when she was 2.5. She will be graduating from the Kindergarten program this June. I love the school and I am confident that my daughter will excel in any school that I choose for her to attend. She is reading far above her level, her math and reasoning abilities are phenominal and her social and communication skills surprise everyone she comes in contact with. They cannot believe that she is only 5 (about to be 6 soon). But this is just the norm for this school. All of the children there are performance superstars! Thanks to all of the loving and caring teachers and the awesome head of school Mrs. Leili.
