We are new to Garden Place this year and their Montessori system but could not be happier with our decision to enroll our son in the ECE program. We have found his teachers and school faculty in general to be very welcoming and involved with his learning process on a day-to-day basis, providing plenty of feedback and as much attention as he needs. I am confident that he would not have matured and prospered as much in his first year of formal schooling if he was in a different or traditional pre-school setting. I am encouraged that having Montessori in a public school will be a good balance of independent learning principles set to the standards and core expectations of traditional schooling. I love the diversity and urban setting of the community school with the city as a backdrop. We look forward to keeping our son enrolled there and hopefully have his younger sister there in a couple years as well.

Garden Place is a great school with traditional and Montessori teaching so you can choose what's best for your child/ children. They have a pre k program for 3 years which is great is that isn't offered at all elementary schools. The teachers are great, and definitely strive to help help the kids grow, and the principal is amazing. The school makes you feel welcomed its like a family, they truly do care, and they have a lot of other resources.

Garden Place is a neighborhood focal point in Globeville as it provides not only schooling for children (traditional schooling as well as a Montessori option) but also offers community resources. Resources like a monthly food market, YMCA childcare for ages 5 and up, biweekly food bags, and an array of community partners that want to give back to the Globeville community.

This school is so involved with the parents and the staff work very hard and effectively towards student achievement. The principle is amazing and my little scholar loves their teacher and loves the school. My child is in their Montessori program and within weeks my child was talking so much more and is already learning letter sounds and how to read. The parent and teacher involvement has created an environment where my child is making friendships and their self-esteem is soaring. It’s amazing what my toddler can learn and I’ve seen that in their growth in the Montessori program. My child is building character and life skills well at this school.

We have attended Garden Place Academy for the past three years and love the school, the teachers, the students, and the larger community. I'm surprised to see the test scores so low and then when I clicked saw those numbers are from 2018, so outdated info! The school has three different tracks, which is great for students with different needs. Beyond a traditional track, there is also a Montessori track where kids are grouped by ages and taught by certified Montessori teachers. A Montessori public school?! Indeed. And! There is one classroom in each grade devoted specifically to English language learners and those who continue through dual language education receive a certificate of bi-leteracy at graduation. Very cool! This school serves a diverse population, including students and families from Mexican-American, Latin-American, Hispanic, and Latinix backgrounds as well as Black families, Indigenous families, mixed race families, and white families. I mention that because equity and inclusion is definitely part of the school's ethos and has been for quite some time. Most teachers have been there for 3-10 years, which is always great to see.

Love love love Garden Place. My son went from 0 spanish experience to being able to respond to spanish conversations & instructions. I also love how they offer 3yr old ECE which is not offered at many schools. His teacher was great and attentive and worked with him to close his language gap as a non native speaker.

Hello Hope you all are having a great school year. I just wanted to let you know I attended Garden Place in the early sixties, I had a teacher named Mr. Jacks I always think about him because he was so very inspirational to me I was bullied he encouraged me to be strong he also talked to the class and encouraged them to spread the word through out the school I have always hoped to let him know or his family know what a special place he left in my heart, I now work with special need students and give them the same encouragement. Thank you Debbie Solis
