I have three kids who went through Elsmere Elementary. It was an absolutely wonderful environment and they all have very fond memories. The principal is amazing, teachers, and support staff are all exceptional. This “great schools” ranking is nonsense. The reason they are ranked so low is because they are not making enough progress, yet their testing ranking is 10/10. They have been voted a “Blue Ribbon School” winner twice in the last 10 years. They aren’t making progress because they don’t need to, they all already at the top. A lot of diversity is the only thing lacking in this district.

This school is excellent- my only issue is lack of diversity. I think the district is slowly becoming more multicultural. Hoping to see this diversity reflected in the staff as well.

I have three boys, one has already graduated from Elsmere, one is a current student, and one has yet to begin. I absolutely love this school. Beginning with the front office staff, to the staff at lunch time, to the teachers, and finally to the parents- they are all nurturing, caring, and work hard to instill the love of learning to these kids. I have friends with children from other school districts, and they have a hard time getting their kids to do homework or to even read a book. I can say, that I never had this problem. Homework is lite and manageable, reading is the every day activity, to the point it becomes second nature. I am one lucky parent!

My children grades 2 and 5 have gone here since the school opened. The educational curriculum is exceptional and the teachers are the best

This school is wonderful. I am very happy sending my child here because he LOVES going to school now. The teachers are kind, focused, and very caring!
