Even though my son is older now and in college - I regularly comment that Mater Christi School developed his character (and studying habits!) that enables him to excel years later.

I would rate my experience in this school as terrible. I will start my story by saying that the issue that i had was very poorly handled. When i registered my daughter into their PreK 3 yo program, i was not even planning to start her until next school yr 2018, but then 1 of the school staff called me and said that their cut off date for the 3yo program is dec 1st, meaning as long as your child is 3yo by dec 1st, then they can start this yr.. My daughter will turn 3 on Nov 28, so i guess she does meet the cut off date.. my daughter was very excited, it was half day, 2x weekly, 3hrs each day.. for 2 weeks i thought everything was going well, i dont hear anything from the teacher, the most that i can get from the teacher was a simple "hi", and thats it, until the 2nd week (4th day), the teacher finally wanted to speak to me. She said that they were struggling with my daughter bec she's not following instructions, she dashes out of the line, she always say no, in short she's behaving like a 2yo, where in fact my daughter is just 2yo, shes turning 3 on nov28 which made her qualified for the cut off date of dec 1st. I understood what the teacher wanted to tell me, and i asked for suggestion on what does she think i should do. This conversation happened on a thurs, and teacher said that we will speak again the following week tuesday and maybe will plan on something.. after that conversation with the teacher on thurs, i called the school next day friday to set an appt with the principal. I never got a call back on that, so then i decided to email the teacher to let her know what i think abt the whole situation.. but no reply.. so i waited thinking that im going to meet with the teacher the following week anyway.. so monday comes, i received an email stating that my tuition payment plan has been deactivated. I called the school, and they put the principal on the phone..and she said that she spoke to my daughter's teacher and they decided that she's too young to be at school this yr, and just try again next yr.. so they just basically decided to kick her out of school without telling me first, and for the meantime, my daughter now tells me evry single day that she's sad because her teacher is angry. She tells me that she does not want to go back to school bec the teacher is angry. Its not just that this was handled poorly, but also now my daughter is traumatized.. if a 2 yo can tell that her teacher is angry, what do u think the teacher did to my daughter?!

The education and staff are wonderful. This is a special school. The office is extremely organized and the principal is one of the best in the region. The classrooms are controlled and efficient...A terrific learning environment. It is truly a unique and special school in every way. It's no wonder they have created a fantastic environment for children in which to grow and learn. They have produced many successful youth. I never had a complaint. My children never had a complaint. They loved the school and have great memories. This is one of the few schools that deserves a 5 star rating in every category.

this school has met and exceeded every expectation we could possibly have. the teachers and principal and really everyone at the school are very compassionate and passionate about providing a quality, values oriented catholic educational experience for our son. every surprise at this school has been a pleasant one. the kids and parents are all nice. the student body is diverse. the standards are high. the expectations are high. i have never heard of any bullying, or anything negative whatsoever. in a turbulent world this school is like a nice quiet oasis of calm and harmony. ( although it's bursting with activity) i would recommend mater christi to anyone without any caveats or reservations what so ever. we are grateful for what these ladies ( all female teachers) have done for our son. our son loves this school so much. considering the quality of education here, i'm surprised there's not a line around the block of kids hoping to get in. from conversations among parents, my views represent the consensus among parents.
