I have two children currently at Oakdale, the teachers are excellent, connected and pro-active. The principal Ms. Caufield (Armstrong) is outstanding, a true leader who all the children love and respect. The oakdale teachers, staff, and leadership should be proud of what they do, I am impressed.

Our son and daughter attended Oakdale School in the '60s and '70s and now we have two grandchildren there (3 in 2011!). The principal and teachers today, like those at Oakdale years ago, nurture their students with kindness and respect while guiding them to high standards of effort and achievement. Also, the after-school programs at Oakdale offer children opportunities to enrich their learning experience through exploring their individual interests. Though the students will all too soon move on, they'll take with them wonderful memories of their years at Oakdale School!

Oakdale is a wonderful school. We very much enjoyed the Olympic sized swimming pool. During the fall, the nut gathering contest held by local squirrels is an incomparable learning experience for the children. Most importantly, the students supply the cafeteria with fresh vegetables grown from the school's very own organic garden. Inspiring the students to take good care of the Earth, the school sports solar panels on the roof which minimize the school's carbon foot-print. I am proud to send my twins to this most progressive and enlightened school.

Miss Armstrong really impresses me with how she knows every students name and how she interacts with them. My children have also had wonderful, caring teachers! An Jeanne, our office secretary, is always very pleasant to deal with! I really love Oakdale School!

The teachers are dedicated. The principal started an enrichment program after school which allows the children to be exposed to different activities. The school has a family feel. The kids look after each other and the school. There is always something good, fun and educational going on. All of my children are excited to tell me about there day or some special event. I love it.

Everyone in the Oakdale community is warm and friendly-parents, teachers, aides, secretary, custodians, etc. The teachers really want the kids to succeed and they make it fun. The Principal knows every child by name. She makes them feel special when she greets them each day. We feel safe knowing our child is in Oakdale's care during the school year. It's just a wonderful place! We could not be happier with our experience so far!!!

The teachers and principle are fantastic. They work to develop of sense of self confidence and community in the children along with their academic skills. They are constantly looking for ways to improve. Many parents are involved in the PTO and volunteer work. The beautifal old brck building and the grounds and playground look like a picture perfect all American school.

Two of my children attended Oakdale. There was a real sense of community. The teachers and principal were terrific. Both of my children were well prepared for the challenges , academically and socially, presented in middle school. My children are both in high school now and have such wonderful memories of Oakdale School.
