  My son was suspended today because he refused to write an essay on how many genders there were. Unfortunately somebody heard him today. Explain there was only two Bauer elementary school does not believe that and because my son refuse to write an essay of all the multiple genders he has been suspended from school…….. i’ve taken my concerns to the police station numerous times. He’s also been jumped and assaulted countless school days Bower elementary refuses to do anything for our children safety. If you send your son to school here, please understand that they are not safe and my son has been kicked out of school every day for the last six weeks because it’s easier to punish one then it is the group and has the names my sons been called he doesn’t even know what they are the scores in embarrassment and I had taken my problems to the police once and I am reaching out to news organizations right now they refuse to move my son schools. They refuse to work out for his safety. I can only imagine their safety of yours is not their concern , I feel bad for any child that goes to the school and any parent like me that thought it was a good idea Miamisburg is a disgrace and I hope somebody sees it other than me. They have locked my son in the janitors closet on numerous occasions, they forced him to sit on the playground by himself under a little tent or shelter , not allowing him to interact with any other children and that’s not half the problem I have with the school to reiterate my son was suspended today a 10-year-old child because he understands there’s only two genders, male and female think about where we’re putting our children because I promise this is not a safe place now that I notice this is your private review board.   I question the data on this site. I have 3 kids. All went to Bauer K-5. All 3 have test scores significantly above average and we don't anything extra at home (helicopter parenting). The teachers are teaching and the kids are learning! I had nothing but amazing teachers and support at this school. In my observation, the people who leave bad reviews are people who have bad experiences because they don't respectfully interact with staff and have unfair/unrealistic. They don't see teachers as an ally/friend. They see them as some sort of scary superior (like they're still in elementary themselves). In 11 years with 3 kids I've had a good handful of issues to address and the staff has always been respectful, insightful, and supportive. Perspective is everything.   An order of magnitude in relation to depravity. This school should be disbanded for all its damage it had inflicted on my learning. My mom spent years trying to get the necessary help I needed and finally succeeded in doing so now I’m a first year undergrad engineering major. With a 4.0 g.p.a. But no thanks to Bauer. Horrible school!! The school should be disbanded and the building should be repurposed. If this site allowed zero or negative star ratings I would give one. ...More Reviews

  At this school they allow a 5yr to wet herself after asking to use the restroom because it wasn't a convenient time for the teacher to allow her to go. Then she is sent to the office and given a random pair of underwear and sweat pants that do not even fit her. They did not even call the parents to inform them of what happened so they could bring her her OWN clean clothes. I feel that this teacher should not be allowed to teach nor do I want her in charge of my children. I also feel that the principal of this school mishandled the situation on so many levels.
