We moved to the area in 2022 and coming from Georgia and prior to that, Virginia Beach, my kids fell in LOVE with this school instantly! We have two girls and they instantly took to the teachers, staff and kids. They play sports and are involved. The academics are wonderful! Teachers are fantastic!

I enrolled my child in this school after hearing great things about it but after her first week of school she hated it. She said there are many bullies at the school and when she tried reporting it to the teacher she laughed at her. While I'm sure she might learn a lot at this school she absolutely dreaded coming everyday. She also said there was lots of people vaping in the bathroom and there were a lot of mean girls. After the first semester was over she had no friends, and was obviously sad and after getting rejected last time she was scared to ask for help. I allowed her to transfer schools, to the other school in town and she is doing a lot better.

BCMS has been great for both of my kids. They have different ability levels and interests and have both been engaged and successful. The school does a nice job of transitioning the kids from the hand holding of elementary school to learning to be independent and prepared for high school. My only issue is that there is so much going on and so many opportunities it is hard to find out about them all to help your child navigate the options.
