The superintendent is rude unprofessional disrespectful and she tries to intimate parents she had tried trasspass a parent who was invited to the school for a meeting she needs to work on how to speak to others and not to judge and the principal needs to be let go she isnt helping the bullying and other problems that happen at school the principal made it clear on a telephone call that this child comes from a upstanding family and he wouldn't or has did anything wrong so that statement tells me she is a big part of the school's problem to belittle one child and judge and profile is just wrong and then put the other child on a padastool is just a wrong

Covington Community School Corporation is why I moved here when we started our family. No school corp is perfect, obviously, but Covington has been a great school for both my children. My youngest (now in middle school) is in advanced courses working in subjects that I didn't take until late high school or in college--& doing great! (There is a lot of homework I can't help him w/ now because either I've forgotten how to do it & a couple I don't even have experience! Luckily, he rarely needs/asks for my help! LOL)My oldest is in his 1st year of high school & he has special needs. I cannot convey how wonderful the Special Needs teaching staff is there! They really care about the students & they go above & beyond for each of them. I feel blessed that my son gets to be around such good, caring people everyday. My only complaint would be that because he's more on the "severe" side of autism/special needs that he had to be bussed 30 minutes away to another school all through grade school because they "weren't equipped" to have a special needs classroom in Covington grade school. I felt like that was baloney. We have one of the better schools in the area, yet, we had to ship our kids off to a struggling "B" school that did not have a special needs teaching team that was enthusiastic & helping the kids to reach their goals near as well as the team he has at Covington. So, that wasn't a good experience. I moved here & pay taxes here to get the best I can possibly get for my boys, so, that was a disappointment...I really hope they can change that program for parents who will have special needs children in elementary that need an "All-Star" team because early intervention is so important!
