We’ve been part of the Christ Lutheran School community since our kids started preschool, and we couldn’t be happier! The staff is incredibly kind and caring, and the school truly integrates its faith into everything it does. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere makes it easy to feel like part of a supportive community.Both of our kids are thriving academically and socially, and we love seeing the friendships they’ve built along the way. Our son even says chapel is one of his favorite parts of school! Recently, our oldest used the biblical teachings he learned in class to encourage my wife and me in our faith during a difficult time. That was when it hit me—like a ton of bricks—just how valuable the impact of Christ Lutheran truly is and how tough it would be to replicate elsewhere.

Keeping it simple, the best thing about this school is the community engagement and clear lines of communication. Yes, it's not perfect, but it's evident there's a focus on individual and overall student needs. While I personally don't always agree with how certain things are handled, I do know that there is some input and thought given by parents, students, staff, and church officials.

I have 4 children and all of them have attended CL preschool or grade school. We LOVE it here! It’s a smaller community feel with really great education and even greater people. I currently have 2 children in elementary and 1 preschooler and since coming in 2023, they have been loving it. My son enjoys the sports programs, the opportunities to perform in the musicals, and they have great after school care. My daughter has been able to learn so much better this year and her specific learning style has been discovered by the wonderful teachers that are invested in her progress. She’s reading so much better and she’s thriving! If you are looking for a school where Godly values are important and where your child can thrive, come check out CL!

Christ Lutheran has a strong sense of family and faith based Community. The teachers truly care about their students and their success. School leadership is always willing to help out in anyway needed. My kids always feel challenged in their work and are learning and growing at a high level.

CL is a great pre-school environment for our child. We feel the community and yea her efforts throughout the year of engagement! We really like the love shared and shown by the teachers and other parents to enrich the overall experience for our child.

I have two children, both attend this school. They have been attending starting in preschool. Hands down, this is a fantastic school: the teachers are skilled and loving, the enrichment programs are presented on campus (so no shuttling needed- such a relief for a household where both parents work outside the home!), the after school care program is seamless and fills in with care for just about every holiday and the entire summer. On a weekly basis my kids are playing chess, dancing, practicing their judo moves, learning to sing, practicing their public speaking, being challenged academically and learning to be good humans. Over the course of the school year they have been on several enriching field trips. A couple of my favorite annual events is really fun carnival they have in the fall (craft fair, carnival rides and pie baking contest, what's not to love?!) and amazing talent show in the winter.This school is the best kept secret in Costa Mesa.

We feel blessed to be part of the Christ Lutheran community. The teachers and staff truly care about each student and create a warm, welcoming family environment. With a strong faith based curriculum we couldn’t be happier with the education and Christian values our 3 children are receiving at Christ Lutheran School.

This school is a secret gem - i'd never heard of it before, but then had challenges finding a private school during COVID. It was recommended to me by a preschool teacher and i am so glad to have found it. My son is thriving and is so excited to learn. It is a fun environment that isnt too strict but still teaches the kids manners, rules and appropriate behavior. The teachers are excellent and everyone is super approachable. Highly recommend it!

Having worked at this school for more than 5 years, I can honestly say that it’s at its best yet. We gained new administration this last year that has made so many improvements to family and teacher partnerships. Teachers are happy and excited to work here. The school is flourishing and the church is doing wonderfully. I did rate the special education low only because as a private school, we do not offer all the services a public school can. However, the ability to differentiate and meet students needs is a big part of our classroom environment.

This is our second year at Christ Lutheran School, and I have to say they have continued to exceed my expectations. The welcoming staff and parents gave our family a great sense of community. The administration shows great leadership, compassion, and strength throughout the campus. The move from public school to private was one of the most positive experiences my family has endured throughout this pandemic. The communication between the Principal and teachers has been 100%. If you want your child to experience an innovative, nurturing, safe, positive, and Christ-centered learning environment then I highly recommend Christ Lutheran school. We are truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing school/community.

Christ Lutheran is the B-E-S-T!!! We made the switch from public school this year and are more and more impressed with this private school with each and every passing day. The principal, the teachers, and all of the staff are simply wonderful. School functions are run with precision and effective communication. The faith-based learning that focuses on individual character development is exactly what we were looking for as we had seen first-hand what was coming down the pipe in the California public school system (i.e. Critical Race Theory). We finally have found a home for our son in Christ Lutheran and we are beyond grateful to be a part of this dynamic, welcoming, and nourishing learning environment. This school is truly a hidden gem in Costa Mesa, and we are so thankful to have found them.

Wonderful hidden gem in Costa Mesa. Great leadership from the principal on down to the SAC staff. Parent partnership is encouraged and helps to create bonds between parents and staff. Curriculum includes PBL which has been a creative learning tool. This school does not push athletics which is a plus in a sea of schools that have athletics as their focus. CLS is academic focused with STEAM as the emphasis coupled with a Christ centered education and is why we chose the school. It is unique in that way. CLS has also remained open during the pandemic and was prepared well in advance for such an event. It is a GREAT school.

We have been attending Christ Lutheran School for 5 years. It is a very well rounded school with a strong sense of community, good educational and spiritual teachings. Both are kids love it!

We have two children currently attending. It's a fantastic school with a strong sense of community that educates the whole child spiritually, academically and athletically. It provides a very loving and safe community with small intimate class sizes and excellent, dedicated teachers. It's tuition is also a bargain.

This school is very individualized for the student. The small class size allows for lots of attention to each child. There are wonderful programs in music, sports, engineering, dance etc. The after school program is wonderful too!

My daughter completed her first year of preschool as a Blue Star (3 yr olds) and I can't say enough great things about this school. The Staff knows and loves the students. My daughter received rich academic instruction, love and care, a strong spiritual focus and incredibly fun experiences. Every day was an adventure and she loved it. I'm so grateful I chose Christ Lutheran!

I graduated from CLCM in 1984 having attended since third grade. It was the best place to grow up. My seventh grade teacher still teaches there.

Love this school! Caring staff, safe and loving environment. Strong faith based academics, art, music, sports program, yearly musicals, after care program, summer program, great middle school trips, family events and so much more. Christ Lutheran is more than a school, it's a family! The small class sizes allow your child to get more one on one attention. My children have blossomed at this school!
