Two of my kids attend Luiseno, I love all the teachers that they’ve had so far. I love how involve the school is with it’s community and how it puts a lot of effort into keeping students busy with activities outside of school hours. They are always being supervised during recess to prevent any type of bullying. Great school overall!

First time parent enrolled my child in Pre-K. My child was motivated to do assignments at home that were fun, was excited to go to school everyday. We had options for morning or afternoon classes that accommodated parents schedule. Ms McLaughlin was the best teacher. Great communication skills with parents and children throughout the year.

This school is incredible! The teachers are amazing and my kids love their classmates! Our two kids have been there since kindergarten and the teachers have been great -- my wife and I have loved the education they have received. Can't say enough great things about this school! WAY BETTER than what the Great School score indicates! Speaking from first-hand knowledge, we love this school and this neighborhood!

This school has gone down hill very fast over the last 3 years. Most of the staff and teachers are bullies to the children .

Administration doesn't help out the kids being picked on. They punish kids without their parents around. Some teachers don't respond to emails.

My daughters were there for a few years, and miss it dearly. This school strongly supports it's no bullying rules. This makes kids feel safe, secure, confident. They focus on their schoolwork because there are no distruptive kids . When there are, (rarely) they are dealt with immediately. The parents here are very involved and the staff is excellent.

The K - 5 grades, with a few exceptions, are a wonderful experience. The middle school staff are well intentioned, most are prepared and educated in regards to subject matter being taught and are commendable in their efforts. Unfortunately, the rest of the middle grade teaching staff is unprepared to teach this age set, as they are unable to control the "adult sized" children that interrupt class, making it difficult for other students to learn. Children that are disruptive, as well as bullies, are allowed free reign, while the bullied children get to spend their lunch in a classroom in protective custody. Rest assured, the principal will take the side of the staff - right or wrong. As for scores and grades, while there are the teachers that do their best to provide good instruction, sorrily, there are those that frustrate easily, feeling that humiliating a child is an acceptable practice, leaving the child to fail miserably or receive a bloated grade to keep the herd moving through. Either situation do not leave a child in a prime position for success.

My child has just finished kindergarten and we are very happy with how the year went! I volunteered once a week so I was able to stay on top of what my child was learning. The staff is very friendly, and teacher ( McDonald) is the best !! Very happy!

I can't say enough good things about this school. Overall, it's a great school that has a caring and competent staff, teachers, Principal (Mrs. Susan Jones) and Vice Principal (Mrs. Kathryn Jones). The teachers here are experienced, knowledgeable and quite determined to make sure that the students are able to reach their highest potential in so many different levels. They have awesome and very dedicated teachers(i.e., Mrs. Schmits, Mr. Magnuson who recently retired, Mrs. Ajemian, Mrs. Colson, Mrs. Sommers, etc.) It has a very strong community support which only makes this school better for our children. It is a "California Distinguished School" and an "Academic Excellence School" in Riverside County. It has a very positive environment which is why the children and parents love this school. But at the same time, "discipline" is a priority in this school which makes it an effective facility for learning and growing. We are so fortunate for having this excellent school right here in our neighborhood.

Lusenio K-8 - We have 3 kids in grade 6 and cannot thank the 6th grade Team enough for the wonderful job they have done. When the kids say they "enjoy going to school" that says it all. This Team has done something to inspire these kids that we have not seen before. It's just not the improvement in grades, its the growth in their confidence, self esteem, responsibility and respect. These teachers truly care about their students and it shows. Sommers / Webb / Palm - Team 6 Principal Jones also deserves credit for putting this Team together and keeping everyone inline especially keeping the kids safe during construction. Keep up the Greatschools work.

Its been 5 months into the new 6th grade addition to the school and my child is in 6th grade. The hardest decision was whether to leave her at Luiseno or have her attend Terra Cotta. There is definitely less homework at Luiseno than Terra Cotta. The environment in Luiseno is definitely safer for the boys, and the girls are not treated like date bait (like they are in Terra Cotta from the older grade boys).
