This school used to be a place where we felt safe leaving our children. In the past year, though, things have changed drastically with new staff. Teachers ignore bullying, show favoritism to well-connected students, and some even mistreat kids. The principal promises change with a smile, but nothing ever improves. It's all just empty talk.

My kids were here from K-8 and had an absolutely fabulous experience. WE moved here from NYC and CHOSE this school for our kids...best choice we could have made!!

CCS is a great school! We have had nothing but positive experiences since our child started there in Kindergarten. The teachers are phenomenal, class sizes are small, and instruction is personalized to our child's developmental and academic level. I cannot say enough good about our experience so far. Let's hope it continues!

While like many schools the programs and educational process are fluid at CCS, there is a sense that this is a place where people care, where they are communicating, where they are constantly improving. I've watched this school closely now for 11 years, as long as our children have been students here. There is a strong support toward the rigor of learning, of collaborating, of including, of excelling and in the end each eighth grade graduating class is spirited, inclusive, artistic, musical, athletic, smart and confident. They know they are part way en route to fulfilling their educational experience, but they leave Cornwall Consolidated School feeling like they were part of a community that cared about them and made every effort to provide them with a diverse and deeply rooted foundation in academics, community, the world beyond Cornwall, their athletic selves, the arts and what kind of work it takes for them to succeed in whatever they set their minds to. We can't ask for much more than that in a primary and middle school. Yes, the community cares about the school here. It shows in the students who have passed through it together.

I love the shool because it is a tiny rural school with teachers who really know and care about the students and their families.

I can't say enough positive things about this school. It has great teachers, strong leadership and outstanding parental involvement. I work at the regional high school and the kids from Cornwall seem to be the best prepared from the six towns that contribute to the high school population.
