This school has been disappointing in many ways, with emotionally unstable and disrespectful teachers, which I encountered throughout my three years. Some teachers blatantly play favorites, and while a few are kind, they’re rare. One incident involved a teacher who sent me and my friends back to class for laughing a bit too loudly in the hallway. I later returned to my seat, quietly, only for the same teacher to send me away again. She then called the assistant principal, who supported her actions, which felt unjust. Teachers should earn respect but not abuse their authority. Additionally, the school’s WiFi is unreliable, with internet issues in most of the building. Therefore I WOULDN’T recommend this school.

Coppell High School offers the IB diploma, which is highly regarded by selective colleges. In addition, my daughter has had the opportunity to participate in excellent extracurricular activities, such as serving as one of the editors of The Sidekick, part of CHS student media, advised by Chase Wofford. The Sidekick is a Career and Technical Education Program of Study in the Communications Area and is one of 45 finalists for a Newspaper Pacemaker award by the Journalism Education Association and National Scholastic Press Association. Another great opportunity she enjoyed was being cast in musical productions by the Coppell Cowboy Theater. We moved to Coppell from abroad at the beginning of her Junior Year. During her last two years of high school at CHS, she feels fully prepared to apply to great colleges due to the rigorous courses she was able to take and the great extracurricular support.

My child attends CHS, and it's horrible. Students experience stress from some teacher's poor instruction, What is the point of attending this school if the students are required to study on their own and prepare for the test? We could homeschool instead.Cheating is common at this school; An average student is able to get better grades than a clever one. I wouldn't recommend this school.

I DO NOT recommend sending your child to Coppell High School. I sent my eldest child who is a freshman and her experience there was the horrible. The teachers treated her awfully and the students there made fun of her looks and discriminated her because of her race. She started failing all of her classes because she missed school for a few days because she was sick. The teachers didn't let her make up the missing assignments. She has told me that the teachers didn't teach her anything and would always give her bad marks for every assignment she does. She comes home everyday crying and saying that she would hate that school and the students would bully her and how there are fights at that school. After 2-3 months of this constant behavior I switched her school to universal academy in Coppell and she really enjoys it there.

You will be prepared for well for college, but at an enormous personal cost. CHS is riding on past glories and individual achievements. The current administration will continue to drive the school down. School safety is an issue. For example, there is not a functioning fire alarm in about half of the building and admin does not care. Counselors frequently tell students that they are not valued and that their success does not matter to the counselor. If you go to this school, you will be prepared academically very well. However, you will not be valued by CISD and admin will be sure to let you know that. As a result, suicide/self-harm is frequent conversation among students who unfortunately have been shown that they do not matter. Many students are able to succeed despite the constant beat down by school administration.

Ask any student what they think about their Principle and leadership team, they lack student engagement and impact, they should be setting an example! Very disappointed with this high schools experience so far. Middle school was great but High school is dramatically different, if you are not in sports then you are invisible and neither recognized.

Experiencing Coppell High School first-hand with my daughter has been an expected wonderful. We expected a lot moving to Coppell because all we heard about was how great Coppell high school was, but we had no idea it was going to exceed even our expectations. My daughter came from another school that was about the same size as Coppell High School, but she didn't feel like she was really a part of anything, until she came to Coppell High School. She was welcomed in right away and made instant friends. The curriculum and Technology are even more advanced than her last school. There doesn't appear to be any bullying, everybody seems to be looking out for everybody. I'm so thankful we moved to Coppell so my daughter could experience all that she has experience so far at Coppell High School. She says over and over again how all the teachers truly care and make learning so much fun . I wouldn't change a thing.

We came from Dallas ISD, my daughters have grown emotionally, physically and in education, 100 percent! They were bullied, bow they have found their place and their voice! The parents and the teachers have welcomed us with open arms. I would never take my kids out of this school district! Yes it is hard, but if you do the work, show some initiative, then they are there to support you in every way possible!

Many well to do Parents bullying on school administration to bend their way to increase grades , cheating by students and air dropping tests to other students ipad and phone , impacting real good students behavior and ethics to keep up their ranking and forcing them to use other means to get grades than studying.Majority of well to do parents have no focus on if their children's are learning or not, their focus is on high grades by any means which is slowly ruining this school

It's a very BUSY place (ie lots of students). However, they all seem to get the type of education needed. Whether they're Gifted and want to really focus on studies or just mediocre and would rather play sports. CHS knows the most important thing is a BASIC education to carry you forward on your path in life after high school. Some will be surgeons and some will be police officers. We need them all. Not every will be a Physicist. Keep that in mind.
