I was constantly bullied by students AND staff. This school is truly disgusting. It doesn't care about it's students, it only cares about it's sports teams. Ridiculous.

Conroe High honestly deserves more than a 5 rating here. The school has definitely changes for the better with building a freshman campus so its not overcrowded in the main campus. They have also gotten better with extra curricular activities being more attentive to students suggestions. It had its rough years before after being there for 3 years but I can really see improvement. Athletics is okay to great depending on the kind of sport, academics is great with the Academy program focused on science and technology though they could improve with making the level classes more challenging since some classes have become dull. Advance classes are great because most of the teachers are helpful, well those that have worked there for a long time or strive to help the kids. Oh and they help out those who may not be able to afford certain things like lunch or AP testing since they pay more than half of the cost for the students. Though I have to say lunch choices are not the best.. the arts/performing arts are excellent winning trophies and competitions almost all the time. For new kids, its going to be hard to fit in because like every school it has its crowds but you can easily spot or tell which you would get along with and most of the kids are nice. The faculty is great and continues to improve. You may think it's strict sometimes but honestly, it's way lenient compared to other schools. So overall, Conroe is on its way to be an excellent school we just need the people to help shape it

Conroe High School has changed for the BETTER in the last 4 years. I've had one child go through and a second that is currently a senior. The school is very orderly and my child feels safe at school. From my observations everyone seems happy; the teachers, the staff, and the kids. The teachers are always willing to help and my child is receiving a first class education!

My daughter attends Conroe HS as a freshman in the Academy for Science & Health Professions. She is extremely happy. Conroe has the best of small town atmosphere with the selection of AP classes that you would only find in a more cosmopolitan setting. Mr. Heathcock, the band director, is outstanding. He communicates with parents almost daily by email and it's apparent that he loves the kids and his job. My daughter was also accepted into the Academy at College Park, but we are very happy that we chose Conroe.

I am a senior at CHS, and there are many great aspects of the school. However, if I had my pick of any high school in the US, I would definitely pick another one. The academics are okay, as long as the student is internally motivated. There are great AP courses a student CAN choose to take, but the level classes are terrible. There's a large gap between "smart" kids and not-so-smart kids. CHS has a great science academy, as well as the aforementioned AP classes. But the fact is that the school is focused on reaching the minimum requirements- the students are not pushed enough to do good. The standard in the AP classes should be raised, and the standard in the level classes should be the same as the current AP standard. Despite this, I like this school very much. There are many oppurtunities for students.
