I would rate this school zero stars if possible. Especially after what I thought would be an enlightening conversion between Vetters and I to get to the bottom of bullying. But he was of no help and recommended suspension for my child defending himself since staff would not

Winecoff is an amazing school! The teachers, administration and office staff are phenomenal! My child has received and continues to receive a great education!

Wonderful School. Great teachers and staff. Always welcoming. Principals and assistants are always involved whether it be in the car rider lane welcoming children to school or assisting at lunch time. I have no complaints.

Winecoff Elementary is where my kids attended over 10 years ago. It was a great school then, and it is still one that thrives on helping students reach success and achievement. The teachers work diligently to help students in all areas and subjects.

As a substitute teacher in Cabarrus County Schools, I have encountered numerous teachers and principals. The staff at Winecoff, teachers, administration, and support staff, all have a heart for the welfare of the students that is surpassed by no other school I've ever encountered. When I work at Winecoff, it feels like I'm working with family and friends.

I registered my K student today and I have to say, this school seems to be terrific. I know one of the custodians there and he said really good things about the school. The lady in the front office was very nice and everyone offered us help along the way. Great beginning for us at Winecoff Elementary School!!!!!!

I grew up in the Winecoff community and sent my children to school there. Each school is what each person makes of it. We had ups and downs through the years. It's like life you have to learn to work through each situation. I am very proud to say I went to school there as well as my children. The community is working hard to help support the students and staff at Winecoff. I love Winecoff!

Sounds to me that someone is stoking their own ego. I'm not surprised. If you want to know the truth look at all the staff that has left or listen to what people in the community are saying. Anyone can post here or as many times as they like.

I have worked at the school for more than 30 years and this past year was the best year ever. I worked at the old Winecoff and the new building. Parents and kids and teachers and administrators are all great folks. I love them and I love the school.

I have read some of the reviews below and I don't think I went to the same school. From what I saw some teachers were treated better than others. I saw some teachers treated very unprofessionally by the administration. I also saw some parents treated very unprofessionally. My child will be going to a different school next year. I was not impressed.

I disagree with the comment below regarding "being afraid to go to the bathroom and the community was gone." As a teacher currently at Winecoff, if you work hard and do what's best for kids, you'll love it there. After numerous resignations this year, our staff is full of dedicated and professional teachers- no more Debbie Downers! I am excited for August to come!

What a joke---that last post about morale and fear is totally absurd. Winecoff is the best elementary school around and everyone knows it. WES has the best students, teachers, parents, and administrators. Everyone knows that when someone leaves, there is a BIG reason why. I am thrilled with my kids, their parents, and our admin team. They tell us YES all the time, they pamper, and they do encourage us. Sounds like someone has sour grapes and may not even be at WES anymore. WES is terrific, great, superb!

The teachers I work with are amazing. We had a lot of change last year. I enjoy being pushed however, if you are not on the administrations good side you do not receive any support you. All I received last year was negative feed back even though my students were making growth and by the end of the year were all on or above grade level. I was also told by this administration that they are in charge and not to question their authority when I stood up for myself in a meeting with them. I also felt the morale of the staff was very stressed, we were walking on egg shells, and everyone was afraid to go outside of their room. One teacher actually felt she could not even go to the bathroom and got sick from this. The community that the staff once felt was gone by the end of the year and we were just individuals working together afraid to do or say anything. I'm hoping this year will be better but I am not very optimistic since 1/2 our teachers have already resigned this summer.

My daughter has just finished Kindergarten, and I am thrilled with the quality of instruction she has received as well as the encouraging atmosphere. Everyone at Winecoff from administration to custodians is focused on providing a fantastic learning community. The teachers and staff members are always willing to go above and beyond!

I have been a teacher at Winecoff for 5 years. I have to say that this has been the best year by far! Under new leadership we have increased test scores, parent involvement, as well as community support. Administration has created an environment that supports teachers in every way while pushing us to become better. I am proud to say I work at WES!
