I love this school, just came there and Im an freshman. Rgeardless people are going to say this is a bad school. IT IS NOT. They are very welcoming and nice. They have JROCT, cooking, Public speaking or Debate team/class and more. MUptiple luages classes like French, Spanish and Mandorian chinnise. Tons of sports Football, basketball, tenniss and volleyball track too! The techers are pretty nice they tey to help out as much as they can just ask them. The food her is AWSOME. For kids who have food issues they let anyone and everyone get as much as they need/want they should know the limits. Bring your kid here its awsome!!!

This school has potential and could be better than what it is. The school is in Concord but serves the kids of Bay Point which is a far more ethnically diverse area than Concord. As a result of “white flight” , nearly 80% of the students who reside in concord and are supposed to feed into Mt. Diablo end up going to Clayton Valley or Concord high because the parents think they’re too good to be in classes with brown kids from Bay Point and feel they’ll get a better education by attending primarily white schools in areas they could never afford. If you are too good for the community you reside in than you wouldn’t be reside there. If the kids that are supposed to go there were required to than the average grades and test scores would go up which means more funding to make improvements. The teachers here are ok. Lots of unprofessional relations and interactions between students and teachers mainly within the music and arts academies (teachers should not be partying with their students even a year after they graduate) What this school really lacks is student participation and school spirit. The rally’s are boring and nobody is exited to be there and extracurricular activities like dances and other social events put on for students are very few and far between and not well attende.

Really Great school. They have medicine academy, engineering academy, architecture academy, design academy and chef academy. All the students go to the college or university or army.

This school is horrible. I would not recommend sending your child here. There are gangs, drug problems, and other things that are just horrible. The school is so easy, and has no challenge at all. I doubt any colleges would want you if you have a diploma from here.

My daughter was picked on for being a "stupid white girl" at this school. She was an honor student, so not "stupid" and she couldn't very well stop being white! There are a few good teachers, but there are some that are terrible and play favorites. Very little parental involvement. Another review mentioned the leadership program. Well, my daughter was in leadership. It is true the kids there were nicer, but all in all, it was a horrible experience for her. She transferred after two years and was much happier. Many students at this school are racist. It was as bad as we had heard, but we didn't believe it until we found out for ourselves. Transfer if you can to avoid sending your kids this school. Our neighbors had it right. They moved to the Concord High area when their kids were in middle school.

I love Mount Diablo High and although my kids are slated to attend College Park in high school I plan on sending them to MDHS!
