Our family really loves St. Bartholomew. The teachers and staff are very welcoming and take the time to get to know the students. The small classroom environment is ideal for learning and most classrooms have extra (full-time) adult help within them. They do a wonderful job in going above and beyond to make sure that the students are getting what they need. Not only are the students able to grow in their Catholic faith but also receive a wonderful education at the same time. St. Bartholomew staff, students, and parents are a good example of people working well together for the greater good of everyone!

St. Bartholomew School is a top performer for education in grades K-8. The students go into high school well prepared and so much so, are ahead of many of the students that come from area schools. The students are encouraged, challenged and feel a strong sense of community not only with students, teachers and staff but the entire families of students. The fact too that they receive the religious education, attend church regularly and encouraged to be faithful followers of God; make this a perfect place for any student. I attended St. Bartholomew for grade school and to this day, feel blessed to have had the opportunity to go to a private Catholic school. I still have lasting friendships from grade school.

St. Bartholomew School provides top notch education for students. The teachers are dedicated to seeing their students succeed. There is a true community feel at St. B's. The religious component is a true blessing. What an awesome school! I highly recommend it.

St. B's prepares students academically for high school and college, but also includes a nice balance of faith.

St. Bartholomew does a great job preparing students for high school. Students are held to a high academic and personal responsibility standard. Students are very successful in high school and always have a showing in the top 10 at each of the 2 Columbus high schools.Students attending St. Bartholomew School form a special life-long bond with not only their classmates but their teachers as well. The teachers and assistants are very caring and supportive of students. The Art, PE, Spanish, Technology and Music teachers are fabulous and bring an alternative learning experience for the students. If you are looking for a caring Christian environment, this is the school for you.

As an alumni I can say this is the still the best school. Two of my three kids currently attend and I've never felt such a welcoming, all-inclusive environment when the kids were in preschool (at other schools). The teachers are very good and I have always felt my kids are getting the necessary attention as well as I am made aware if any of the kids need any additional academic help. Love this school.

I would say that this school is in between bad/avg. If you are looking for a very rigid and rule-centered learning environment, this is the school for you. Also, if standardize test scores are what you are after...this is also the place. Some teachers are caring and positive; however, the majority we have experienced use shaming of students to get them to comply or just belittle them (can't tell which). There is definitely not a positive discipline approach used in this school. Parents are looked at and treated as outsiders that have no business in shaping policy or even have any input into what is going on with their child's education. "Passing the buck" is commonplace. It's too bad that "faith-based" has suddenly equated to punishment and ridicule of students, etc. instead of more "Christ-like" behavior and reinforcement. I guess that some things (hypocrisy) in the Catholic schools will just never change. NOT a positive learning environment. Crying shame. Buyer beware.

An incredible school where your kids will learn to excel and be loved. All three of my children (ages 17-8) have attended or attend St. Bartholomew. The education they receive is superior. Teachers and administration truly care about each child and make it their number 1 to help them excel. Plus I know they are being encouraged to be responsible loving people.

St. Bartholomew is a great school. It has grades K-8 and provides Catholic values along with excellent learning opportunities. The class sizes are just the right size and that is better for our kids from a learning standpoint. It is a great experience for us and we wouldn't have it any other way.

St. Bartholomew is a great school for my kids. I like the smaller class size and individual attention that the kids get. St. Bartholomew is a great school with caring teachers. The administration is helpful. I like that the kids can learn about their faith on a daily basis.

Our daughter will be entering her 9th year at St. Bartholomew. Our son attended public school and did fine yet I can honestly say it's the best choice we have made for her education not only academically, also spiritually. It's very much a family affair where everybody knows your name. Now she's in middle school I fully appreciate the uniform. No battles over inappropriate clothing. My daughter's favorite activity is spending time with her Kindergarten buddy. A wonderful system which teaches middle schoolers responsibility, leading by example, whilst having fun. A friend who works at a local high school tells me she always knows the kids from St. B's as they come so well prepared for high school and are so respectful. I would, and have, recommend this school to anyone.

Our daughter has attended St Bartholomew for the last 3 years. Her spiritual and educational growth are outstanding. Small size classrooms, teachers and administers who truly care for students and an very involved PTO. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and be actively involved with their children's school experience. IT program is advancing with the addition of IPads to every teacher and for every grade. Wonderful Catholic school which also accommodates all religions. Looking forward to watching our child grow and flourish within this school.

Although there are many caring teachers, we have found out there are several (more like three or four) teachers who yell at the children. Everyone knows this is going on yet this situation has been allowed to continue. There is def a 'good ole boy' system here. The bullying situation continues also, check out their numbers (dropping) for middle school, very distinct 'groups' are allowed to alienate, tease or gossip about others. Many of these kids are teachers children. Lunch time is not monitored in the upper grades. We have lived in this town for several years, have had 2 children at this school in various grades and its just gotten worse as they aged. My husband and I are super disappointed in this. During the election there was a teacher pushing Obama on the kids, that was very unprofessional. The principal is a kind lady however just appears she gives second, third, fourth, etc chances. Office staff members are exceptionally kind. Our children will not be returning next year.
