Renfro is an amazing school! My kids have developed a love of learning from the outstanding trackers at this school!

My has attended Renfro for the past three years. The teachers are great; however, there are certain things that are not. For instance, my child was severely hurt during the school day two years ago because it was policy that the teachers take their breaks during that time. Children were left UNATTENDED for 15 minutes in the classroom everyday with 1 hall monitor to "check" on several classrooms. The morning drop off is a absolute nightmare! There is little organization to the process and parents will not pull up to the designated areas to drop their children off. Moreover, cars are trying to turn into and pull out of the circle drive from 2 directions which causes a backup. We live very close to the school and leave early, yet my child receives a tardy almost daily because they only offer a 20 minute window for dropoffs. Finally, the one great program (The character development and assembly) has since been dropped since the new principal started this year. There is very little education offered for cultural diversity or "hand-on" learning opportunities. Overall, we have decided to relocate next year because of Collisville schools.

We love the John Renfro elementary school. The best teachers, and such a positive learning environment for everyone. Having been in the community for a few years, learning about the legacy of the school shows where this positive foundation and passion for learning comes from. My children are so happy, challenged and supported -- and thriving! Thank you teachers, administrators, support staff and volunteers. We are so proud to be a member of the John Renfro school.
