Extremely disappointed with my grandson's 1st grade experience. He (and 2 other boys in his class) were separated from the other students at desks facing the wall for months due to "behavior problems". Rather than encourage him and work with him meet her expectations she simply shut him and the other boys out. She also gave her students activity sheets every morning that were effectively only "busy work" because she never reviewed them to identify areas where they needed more instruction or guidance. I know that one teacher doesn't make a school, but when I consulted with the principal and assistant principal I got zero support or action. Further, the support he got from his teacher during the Covid-19 quarantine in the 4th quarter was totally non-existent. I will say his kindergarten experience was quite good - no mention of any behavior issues at all - but his 1st grade teacher changed him from a happy, social little boy to an angry child who hates school. I will not send him back for another year of abuse at this school.

A great experience for myself and my children. They have been blessed to have such wonderful peers in their lives there.
