I continue to be impressed daily with the high caliber of teaching that takes place at Clinton Public School. From administration across the entire staff, they look to educate the whole child, not just in the area of academics. They are caring, kind, compassionate and supportive. They are dedicated to seeing the students improve, achieve and excel whatever their challenges might be. They go out of their way to ensure students are good citizens through the character education program, infusing the fundamentals of the program into the school day so the students are living it. My son will be graduating in just a few months and we are so sad to say goodbye, however equally as grateful for the education and experiences he has received since kindergarten.

Overall it’s not a great environment for anyone outside of the close knit circle. Many teachers went to school with parents and make many special provisions for their children. On the other hand, parents outside of that circle with very real issues go unheard.

I attended Clinton Public school from kindergarten all the way until 8th grade. Everybody in the school knows each other, which is great, but it is also a double edged sword. After attending the same small school with the same 50 kids in your grade for 9 years, you start to get bored. When students from CPS enter high school at North or Vorhees they are shocked by the size and commotion of the new place. In addition, Clinton Public is more geared towards elementary school, not middle school. Middle school students at CPS are placed on a tight schedule; they only have history and science classes every other day. When they enter high school, it is easy to feel left behind in these classes because of your limited time in class. Clinton Public School is a wonderful place to send children for elementary school, but falls short in teaching middle school students.

Our children have had a good experience in this school. They have been challenged academically and the teachers have been good as well. We would recommend this school.A parent

We had a student start in kindergarten with high hopes. We soon realized she was miserable from boredom. Three months in and they were still being taught numbers 1-10 and still had not completed the sounds of the alphabet!! The material was way behind her preschool education! When I spoke with her teacher multiple times about my child being desperate for a challenge Mrs. Gallagher would "assure me" she would provide a challenge "eventually". But after 3 months we got tired of waiting. We transferred her and she is so much happier! They are reading and writing sight words (which is what is appropriate for this age group!!) and addition and subtraction.I can't express how incredibly disappointing it is to have a student go to a 9/10 "great school" and be so underwhelmed. Thank goodness we have a strong home education foundation otherwise she would be so unprepared for a proper education!

I would not recommened this school. My child was in 7th grade and would come home very upset because he would say he did not feel he was learning anything new at this school. When I was at a parent teacher conference I noticed that and easy grammar 6th grade book was on the teachers table, not 7th. My son also said they would learn the same things they learned in 5th grade, except for math. We had to transfer my child to Clitnon Township Middle School because he was so upset. He always said he never got a proper education, and I feel terrible for not believing him at the start. I would not recommened this school for kids in grades 5-8.

It's a shame Superintendent Katz is leaving the school but, I I hope his successor is even better.

My daughter is entering 2nd grade and we've had such a wonderful experience for K and 1st grade. I am very happy with CPS! The teachers are great as is the After School Program.

I love that it is a small town Kindergarten through 8th grade school. Everyone knows everyone. There are tons of terrific people- both staff and volunteer that put their all into making CPS a great school for the kids.
