I absolutely hate this school, the school has very iffy food and the bathrooms are absolutely filthy. Bullying doesn't make it much better either, the kids in OMS are terribly disrespectful and I've obviously have not had a great time in this school, but I guess I only have one more year to go in this school, huh? If the highschool I'm gonna be going to is anything like my experience here at this Middle School then my parents will more than likely pull me out and either homeschool me or put me in a virtual school that ISN'T Bradley county.

I would escribe my experience at this school terrible, they don't discipline children they should they don't handle bullying the correct way there are drugs and vapes every day seen and nothing is ever done about it would personally not recommend this school.

I would rate my experience at this school as "Challenging" . Communication is poor. As I sit here and type this I have many emails teachers have never responded to. Simple questions, wouldn't take but a minute. I also have had to deal with situations that were supposedly handled only to be calling again the next day. On two occasions I've had to contact the principal to tell him what I heard of 2 teachers that involved my (and other) children. Both times teachers had to be "disciplined / counseled". I think teachers should know how to deal with everything when it comes to managing their class rooms. Not coasting by until a rare time a parent hears something from a child and then the parent has to report it. It's very frustrating teachers move "good" behaved children with children that have behavioral issues. It's a common practice and I think it's a cop out and punishes the well behaved students. It's done in effort to keep the class even so good will rub off on poor behaved. I think teachers should find another way to effectively deal with the students that challenge them other than punishing the quieter kids. I wish more parents would speak up and make change. These problems have been going on for years. Something is not right in our system that is suppose to educating our children.

Worst staff in the office. My kid won’t be going here another year. She’s been unhappy the entire time & she’s always loved school before this year.

Ocoee Middle School. This is the best school in the district. No you do not have to be an athlete to attend. I played football on my 8th grade year and still noticed no difference in the curriculum I was taught. I highly recommend this school

Oms is such a wonderful school with excellent, caring, and attentive teachers! I've had nothing but a wonderful experience. They also have wonderful athletic programs that young children can become apart of. We have been nothing but pleased with the wrestling program/coaches and all the great qualities they bring out in our young children. We highly recommend this school!

OMS has as many Pros as Cons but none of the Cons are due to a lack of heart, excellent teaching, or academic offererings. Teachers at this school are very attentive to the academic objectives set forth by the state and national Departments of Education. Paired with that are the massive hearts of love and concern shown for each and every child that comes through the school. Honestly, there are bullying problems, however, the school administration and teachers have an excellent bullying prevention program in place to help with this. The bottom line is that children can be very sneaky and although every parent would like to think their child is incapable of teasing, being rude to, or even hitting another child, that is most often just not the case. Children have got to learn to stand up for what is right, regardless of what others are doing around them. One teacher can not possible monitor halls, classroom, bathrooms, etc...all at one time or catch every act of aggression. OMS has top-notch academics, top quality teachers, and a principal with vision. If you want your child to do well in this school, or any other for that matter, you must first teach them to handle adversity.

I currently go to OMS and I would NOT recommend anyone to go to this school I am currently bullied every day my mom and Mammaw Has both gone to the principal and nothing was done. I got sent to the hospital from this one girl and they were not going to do anything until we mentioned the trip to the hospital. If your son or daughter is prepared to get bullied then send them here to OMS!
