Looking for another school for my rising 4th grader. My daughter hated going to school. Every. Single. Day. She has attended many schools since we have moved often and never have we “hated” school. The progressive teacher would punished the entire class when a student would disrupt. Generally one child. This type of “correction” never worked. My child missed playing on the playground often with her peers because this teacher was yelling and overwhelmed with this singular student. The teacher appeared “over” teaching and it was obvious by her teaching style and my child lack of desire to go to school. She would often cry begging me to keep her home. She acted as though the teacher was a bully. Afraid if she didn’t get her folder signed or do her homework she would be punished. I have never seen her this afraid of a teacher. Due to overcrowding we left Arnold Elementary to go to Mayfield (where we are zoned.) Since our Mayfield experience (23-24 school year) —We are now looking into private school or homeschooling. This Great Schools number reflects the school accurately. It is 3. And the culture at the school reflects that too.

My daughter goes here and she likes it. I don't see any problems. Great school in my opinion. It didn't even open until 2022 school year so I don't understand the previous reviews before the school existed.

It is a brand new school and has a lot to work on. I am putting my kid in private school over this.

I don't recommend this school at all!! If possible I wouldn't give any stars,!! Terrible, don't come close even!! They don't consider parents opinion or concerns at all about their child they don't care, they do changes whatever they want! I was disappointed really twice to give my child to this school ! Please people be aware of that !!!

Mayfield is wonderful and diverse. The teachers are amazing! I feel Mayfield is judged unfairly because of the diversity. Many children only know English as their second language. It's also clean. They're working on progressing the school, they still need a little work with friendliness and creating a community-type environment, but overall it's great! (This is our 4th year @ Mayfield).

I was really disappointed to come to this school, because teachers were really mean and not attentive to my child, the service is also really bad, administration didn't do request at all, cafeteria food is also unsatisfactory, please be aware to come to this school. From outside seems good but inside is chaos. I'm really really disappointed, I will take out my child from this school, just horrible place!!!

Both of my daughters go to Mayfield. One is in 3rd grade and the other is in 2nd grade. The teachers are great here and the school is very clean. Mayfield has a great Basketball program for the kids boys and girls. The only thing I see wrong here is lice because they dont tell you when there is lice going around. Over all great school

My son is attending at Mayfield Elementary School. He is on 2nd grade now, He is improving on reading, and he's reading everywhere and everything. I thank his teacher Mrs. Sampson for all her support. What I really like this year, is that PTO group is doing all of their meeting in English and Spanish, I love that, as hispanic . Now I feel part of my son's education.I really want to thank all the staff and teachers of Mayfield. And specially to Mrs. Finison(the principal)......
