Parents, PLEASE RECONSIDER sending your child to CHS due to the sheer incompetence of its administration that fails to address pressing issues such as bullying, academic shortcomings, and facility maintenance, creating an unsafe and unsupportive environment for students. They would rather act like police officers. Bullying is a pervasive problem at CHS and the administration's lack of action only exacerbates the issue. Students who are targeted by bullies often find themselves without recourse or protection from the school's authorities, leading to ongoing harassment and emotional distress.Academically, the administration's neglect is evident in the outdated curriculum and lack of support for struggling students. Rather than implementing proactive measures to address academic challenges, the administration turns a blind eye, leaving students to flounder without proper guidance or resources.Facilities at Cleburne are in a state of disrepair, with inadequate maintenance contributing to an unpleasant and potentially hazardous learning environment. Despite numerous complaints from students, parents, and staff, the administration has failed to prioritize facility improvements, further underscoring their incompetence.Extracurricular activities, which play a crucial role in student development and engagement, are sorely lacking at Cleburne High The administration's failure to invest in extracurricular programs deprives students of valuable opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and social interaction outside of the classroom. The toxic culture that pervades CHS can be directly attributed to the administration's inability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Cliques and social hierarchies flourish unchecked, while students who do not fit into these rigid social structures are marginalized and overlooked by school leadership.Parents should carefully consider these shortcomings before entrusting their child's education to Cleburne High School.

Student support systems are a large part of what the district has promoted. This year I have seen very little support going around. This goes along with the questions I previously talked about and others. Teachers tell kids not to talk in class because “Lunch is your time for socializing.” Then we are told we can not change our lunches to be with friends. So when you have students with few friends, where is their support? As one of the students with very few friends I have been struggling. It gets difficult when a student has no classes with their friends and does not share a lunch either. What about those same students who can’t see their few friends outside of school either. Where is their support? Class schedules are another thing that gets messy. Now there is a rule stating students can only change classes one time. These students are people. People make mistakes and may forget a portion of their schedule they wanted changed. Must suck to be them because now they are still stuck with a schedule that is unfit for them. Whatever is going on obviously isn’t being done for the benefit of students or teachers. From what I am observing, the district is being built on looking good upfront. Parents can not see the full effect of what is going on. Teachers hardly see what is going on. Students are miserable. It has been 2 days and I have heard “I hate this school,” “I don’t want to be here,” so many times. We are constantly being told that they are trying their best to make school a place we want to be but as of now, it really doesn’t seem that way. All these positive things I'm hearing about what is being done for the school seems like it’s only being said to keep parents at ease. Take a step back and view what school is like from a student, or even a teacher’s perspective. Not everyone will like school but the experience can still be improved.

Great school, Receives overwhelming support from the community, state of the art technology programs... campus similar to that of a community College... Low crime and high student involvement in spirit activities. Countless paths for students to take... from welding/mechanic certs to associate degrees and a hundred more. I've worked in 5 districts, this by far being the best. The school went from a C- rating to a B+. They're doing great things with great people. They are preparing students for the future with necessary skills to become productive and successful citizens. It is a very safe campus, with extra security measures in place. Students are overall respectful and administration is wonderful in supporting staff and students.

As a new student to this school, I just want to say to the administration to spend more time with the students in each class or individual class. Like they can do (A day) one day has 4 periods and the other is B day 4-5 periods. I feel like I don't have enough time to study and talk to teachers about my academic work.

We have to have what must be the most incredible high school campus anywhere. The facility is new and second to none. Plus the classes offered are phenomenal. What a great venue for the future workers and leaders of our community. To top it off the administration is extremely supportive of the staff and students. Great Staff, Great Students, Great Programs.

Is a great really big school, nice teachers, many different career paths you can take. Making it into a bigger school which it is already 2 stories, so that is really good because more students can attend this amazing high school. Also, teachers are nice and most of them are chill with everyone you just have to have respect.

This high school is making great progress preparing our students for the future. The staff and administration is very caring and helpful. The programs available to have students job ready through CTE is way above the programs of many other area schools. Options for students gaining college credit is numerous. The only reason this school did not get a 5 star rating is that the facilities need work. I am very proud that my child is a YellowJacket!

This school constantly changes the administration, faculty, and even the board which continually changes the dynamic of the school. This is both a +/-. If an idea didn't work, it will most likely l be changed for a new idea. Unfortunately, this makes for TOTAL lack of consistency and confusing communication of expectations from administration due to the constant bickering and power struggle. It shows in everything from vice principal's disciplinary decisions to academic expectations of the students and teachers. Students make strong connections here and there seems to be an environment that students readily make strong friendships. I have never seen a "loner" at this school. Another positive are the variety of classes available for students. We have strong leaders in the teachers in the mathematics and the science department, and an excellent construction group. Unfortunately, we need dramatic improvement on too many points to fully address in this post. Some include: age of facility, lack of quality desks, ridiculous daily bell schedule that changes daily, periods are too short, too many classes per day, dramatic student achievement gap, & a manipulative parent group
