Clear Spring Elementary has been wonderful for our children. Our children transitioned from elementary, middle, and are now in high school and I cannot say enough about the staff, teachers, and organizations like the PTA that support Clear Spring students. This is an exceptional learning environment and the music and art programs are well suited for early learners. We have been very happy with the support and learning environment as well as the safety having a SRO right across the street at the High School. Staff is well trained and takes safety seriously.

CSES is a unique school because most parents & grandparents are very involved & the teachers are appreciated. It's a tight community where we all look out for each other. The learning is intense but the support is there too. So unless your child is a behavior problem, they will thrive! Classes are not overcrowded at all. It is a positive environment & there are community activities often, that allow family fun to be had. The vestibule is secure & teachers always follow safety protocol. The art, music, technology & PE programs are vibrant but solid. Lunchtime is very strict (that's my only complaint). Even though there is little diversity unfortunately, that is also a reflection of the population in this zip code. Thankfully, the curriculum followed for Washington County is very inclusive & character building is taught regularly. You're lucky if your child gets to go to Clear Spring Elementary, where the Clear Spring motto is ONE FAMILY!

We LOVE Clear Spring Elementary! I'm sorry to hear that another parent had such a negative experience with the school, but our family has had nothing but wonderful, positive experiences! Our kids transferred in mid-year, and were greeted warmly and made to feel at home. The principal gave us a tour the first day, and took time to answer all of our questions. The kids' teachers are nurturing and caring, but also really challenge our kids and make them work. I plan to join the PTA and hope to be an active volunteer at the school. I think having a good school experience is easy if you are willing to communicate openly with staff and teachers, as well as offer to help out where you can. We are VERY pleased with Clear Spring Elementary!

I have nothing good to say about this school. It is terribly over-crowded. The teachers are not very helpful. They are so focused on reading that they do not teach any other skills. Also, there was a boy bullying my daughter and we tried three times to get help from the teacher and administration to no avail. (His parents had gone to the school when they were kids so he couldn't be doing anything wrong.) We ended up transferring her to a private school mid-school year, which was a blessing in disguise since she is learning so much more! Her reading and math skills have improved substantially and she is so much happier.
