Administration in the past few years have not been up to par. However, I am excited to see change made by the new Superintendent and Principal.

The school uniform's are causing stress for parents students and staff. My highschool age son said his friends seem to always be in iss due to crazy things like their shirt was untucked while in iss they are not given a chance to complete their class work and results in poor grades the teachers apologize to the students saying they have no say in this if a child is properly dressed for school and ready to learn they should be given the opportunity instead of it being taken away by petty uniform violation's

If you have any intention of your kids going to college, think seriously about another school. The study habits they teach barely get you past high school. Much less a university.

I think Claxton High school has a wonderful administration and does a great job at handling discipline. They also do a great job at challenging all students and giving them the opportunities that are needed at every level.
