Student behavior is out of control with new administration not being strict with disciplinary actions. Bullying, stalking, racial slurs among girls is terrible. Cannot recommend El Roble, any benefits are out weighed by student behavior.

My child is attending the school and is really enjoying his experience there. The staff and teachers are all really caring and is great at challenging the students to learn more and to do their best. We love that the school is strict on safety. The extra curricular, clubs, and sports programs are run really well too. So far we have been loving our time at El Roble.

This school has no care for students what so ever. The teachers dont care what happens to students. Many fights will happen and the teachers dont do anything about it.. this school is emberassing, ive been here for 2 years and ive heard so many horror stories from my friends about their experience. this was the worst 2 years of my life.. i hope whoever reads this and thinks of putting their kid in this schools regrets the thought of even coming onto this website to look at this school.

Student became a different person in this school from unhealthy environment. Many staff members and students left due to feeling unsafe. Restrooms in common areas were constantly unsanitary ( dirty, no soap, or toilet paper). Kids are constantly ill/coughing. Bullying is out of control, police are often there. Students form groups and if they don’t like someone then the entire group gets involved. Also if you’re not part of a large group then bullying becomes an easy target. Boys get into fights almost weekly and girls get into fights or bully girls over boys. There is a no cell phone policy but students still use them to basically gossip throughout the day. Some teachers even let students wonder around campus during class? There are some great teachers that try their best but there was no permanent principal all year.

i went to this school for 7th grade and i was so disappointed. i went into it with very high expectations and i left with disappointment. they didn’t teach me anything. my score in 6th grade for the math caasp was ABOVE 7th grade, and now its lower than 7th grade. bullying is out of control.at the time i attended this school, there was no principal. they didnt even begin looking until the second semester. many people i know left the school because parents thought it was unsafe, including the staff. staff left because they were getting harmed in fights. fights occurred almost weekly. huge disappointment, el roble.

The bullying is out of control. Racial and LGBT slurs shouted across the lunch area and sexual assault threats made both out and inside the classroom. The teachers don't seem even remotely aware of Title IX or know how to fix the problem. The principal and assistant principal seem useless in this regard. The bullies are never punished, and it's the bullied who must do things to avoid them. As well, learning is disrupted by these behaviors. If you can afford to sent your child elsewhere, do it.

I'm currently an 8th grader. I haven't had very many issues, as I am an A student, but there are many uninterested teachers who don't care about the students. They have made a few new hires that a great, but there are some teachers that need to retire. I've never been bullied, but I've seen it happen. Discipline is nearly none existent, with people fighting multiple times and not getting anymore punishment than a short suspension. The principal doesn't care much, and the facilities are run down. The pool has been empty for years now. Claremont's elementary schools are good, but no middle schools.

Had to pull our son from the school. It is sad that CUSD has such good elementary schools and a good HS, but it drops off at the MS level. The principal is horrid and disinterested, along with the admin staff. They were engage by my family on a few occasions in the positive manner, actually we were looking for their input on how to supplement my child's learning, and they fell sadly short. Some of my son's teachers were fair, but they were some that were inadequate, reviewing the baseline subject material, while reliving their glory days by telling stories to their captive audience. My son now reflects at his time at El Roble and we laugh, and are grateful we made the decision when we did. Thank you El Roble for making our decision easy to remove our son from your school. No seriously, thank you.

El Roble is a great school. You can't go wrong with Claremont! Teachers and staff are great! Great after school programs.

We are thinking of having our child start 7th grade next year at this school. I have read and looked over everything. It looks good and promising for our child, but, would like some further input from other families whos children have attend this school...the Safety (bullying...how do they handle it...?) Principal, Teachers, Curriculum, Staff, etc...Thank you!
