Our school is blessed with wonderful students and parents! It is a very supportive and faith filled community!

St. Michael School has been such a blessing to my family. The community, teachers and staff are like family. I have loved the education they are getting all while being taught in such a loving environment. The school offers a lot of extras including band, girls on the run, chess club, golf, soccer, volleyball, etc. We have really loved St. Michael School!

We have a currently enrolled 6th grader and 4th grader and have been with the school since Kindergarten. We've been impressed with the relationships with the teachers, faculty and full staff and feel supported no matter the concern or challenge. I love that the kids can walk as a class to the library, the park or even the fire department for special occasions which adds to the community feel of the school. Kids are respectful and you get to know many of the families through volunteering opportunities both in your child's class and outside of your child's class. The community support was put to the ultimate test this past year and our SMS families rallied together to show each other support when it was needed -- the education piece is great, but SMS is more than education, it's a place that helps to raise kids in a faith-based lifestyle.

St. Michael School has been a wonderful part of our family for many years. We are so blessed to have a caring environment for our children to grow and learn. Our older kids have excelled in high school and college because of the academic and spiritual foundation they received at St. Michael School. We are so grateful for the welcoming community we have found at St. Michael Parish and School.

In my time at St. Michael, the things that gave me pause upon enrollment (lack of gym, playground, multiple campuses) have actually turned out to be some of my favorite things about this school. Students play outside, walk to Sharon Woods or the public library, and use their imaginations in ways I could have never imagined. Mr. Dopes is an excellent gym teacher who teaches the children that physical fitness doesn't require a large donor gym. The staff is all kind and supportive and the administration is forward thinking. If I had more children, I would be honored to send them here.

We are so thrilled with our experience at SMS! The staff is wonderful, curriculum is on target and extra assistance for reading and speech has been a game changer for my Kindergartener! We cannot recommend this school enough.

St. Michael School does not reflect it’s so called Catholic faith. The wonderful teachers end up leaving as the administrators fail to create a positive and supportive work environment. This trickles down to the students. While we had positive experiences with the teachers themselves, the staff does not operate as a family. There is always tension and unresolved issues. Carolyn Murphy and Fr. Ed do not follow Catholic values when it comes to the environment of the school and church. If you’re looking for a loving, nurturing, faith- based education for your children, St. Michael School is not it.

We have a 3rd grader, a 1st grader and future kindergartener. We choose St. Mike's because of the feeling of community, the outstanding education including Religion, and because so many kids have parents that were students. Recently when my daughter was hospitalized at Children's the school teachers, principal Murphy and community came together and supported our family, visited us at the hospital and made coming back to school seamless!

We have a first grader at St. Michael's. We could not be happier with our choice of school! It is a wonderful community! The teachers we have had are amazing and caring and our daughter adores them all. I have had multiple conversations with other parents about how super impressed we all were with how quickly (week one of kindergarten) that so many of the staff new us and our kids names (mind you this was during COVID and we parents weren't in the building at all, so this made it even more impressive!) We agree that we all immediately felt like part of the community! I can hear the staff greeting my daughter every morning at drop off with good mornings and positive affirmations that I know make her day!! We were also overly impressed with how they handled the pandemic, keeping our kids safe and happy. We chose St.Mike's because of it's small size, feel of community and above all the faith based learning that is not just taught in one class per day or at mass once a week, but I can see it in how she communicates and how she's communicated to. When I volunteer at the school I'm always amazed at how polite all of the kids are. I love that the kids my daughter is looking up to are saying "please" and "thank you" and holding doors open for each other etc. If you want to experience the culture of this school come meet the kids!!

We love St. Michael School! We are a second generation family with our children following in their father’s footsteps. St. Michael School is a loving, family focused environment with excellent teachers and services. We are very happy with the opportunities and education provided at St. Mikes!

St. Michael School is a wonderful place for students and families. The school blends the Catholic faith and teachings seamlessly into the other classes, not just in religion class or during Mass. Students are very well-prepared for high school. The students also have opportunities for service projects, extra-curricular activities including band and Scouts, and can play a variety of sports. Kindergartners can either attend a half day or full day. There is an after-school care program.

This school tends to deny the problems it has instead of facing them head on with strong leadership. There are teachers there, who year after year, have complaints against them and yet they still work there. After some time wouldn't it be time to think to yourself, hmm, maybe the teacher really IS a problem? There are teachers there who SCREAM at the kids and point laser pointers at them. And yet they still work there. There is a teacher there that has called a child names and embarrassed them in front of class, yep, still working there even after parent complaints every year. Don't get me wrong there are great teachers there but there are some that make me question why they haven't been fired. If I treated my employees or coworkers like that I would be creating a hostile work environment and written up or fired, but I guess it is different in schools or at least this school. The school is old, the parking lot is the playground with only jump ropes and balls and chalk to play with. The parents are great for the most part, ready to jump in and help at any time. There are cliques but that is everywhere. The quality of education is good.

I am a parishioner who sent my child to this school until recently. The teachers are pleasant and seem to know how to educate the children. However, parents are somewhat arrogant. The school nickles and dimes you to death for almost everything. There is no playground for the young children - they're stuck playing on an asphalt parking lot. The school building itself is old and the HVAC system shows its age.

It's an ok school. The teachers can be down right rude to the children and with no consequences.
