Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati K-8 schools is a remarkable institution that provides a unique educational experience for its students. As the name suggests, the school is focused on providing a rigorous STEM-based curriculum that is designed to prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. One of the things that stand out about this school is the emphasis on hands-on learning. Students are encouraged to engage in practical activities, experiments, and projects that allow them to apply what they have learned in the classroom. This approach helps to reinforce concepts and principles and make them more meaningful and relevant. The school also offers a range of career technical classes that provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue specific career paths. This is an excellent way for students to gain exposure to various professions and explore their interests before they enter high school.Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati K-8 schools has a dedicated team of educators who are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields, and they use a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.Overall, I highly recommend Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati K-8 schools to any parent looking for a quality education for their child. The school's focus on STEM and career technical classes, along with its hands-on learning approach, make it an excellent choice for students who are interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

This school has a wonderful staff who cares deeply for each and every scholar. The admin truly cares about the teachers and values their input. The teachers at this school go above and beyond for their students. There is a very positive culture among staff, making HSA a great place to work. The staff is working together to make improvements in our school every day to give our scholars the best experience possible.

I will never return to this school. Of all the teachers whom I taught with in 2014, when I left, no one remains. The teacher turn over rate is staggering and all other charter schools in Cincinnati pay teachers thousands more than Horizon Science Academy.

So far I love this school. My daughter is in kindergarten, she didn't attend preschool, headstart or daycare so I was a bit nervous but they made her feel right at home and she looks forward to waking up in the morning. I enjoy the fact that I am aware of her behavior and academics on a daily and weekly basis. I've only had one issue and it has been resolved (teachers not paying her attention when she had her hand up to go to the restroom which resulted in her using it on herself). I also love how they offer computer and other classes so early in their education. They also keep you informed on other classes and activities that are happening around the city so the children have an option to get involved in after school activities. I sent her here with my mind made on transferring her to Performing Arts next year (since we were too late this year) but both she and I have falling in love with Horizon so I think she'll be here until she graduates!!!! Good job!!! P.s. We love Ms. Danielle Williams

Banning hair styles of the majority of the school's student populace is not the ideal especially when it have never been proven to interfere with the intellectual capacities of the children.

I enrolled my son for the 2012 year in may of 2012. I'm from Indiana, and I thought that my son, being extremely bright, would have more opportunities in Cincinnati. Unfortunately, this horrible school has been nothing but problems from start to finish. First off, when I enrolled him in May of 2012 the office staff assured me that I lived in an area where transportation was provided. I made it clear that we are a 1 car family, and I couldn't enroll him if there was no bus service. When the 1st day of school rolled around, no bus showed up. Turns out there was no bus service. I lost my job because I had to keep calling off to make sure he got to school. The staff said the days he missed due to no bus service would be excused. Then I get a nasty call from the dean threatening to file truancy charges. I was forced to move to Clifton to get bus service, and at least once a week the bus passes him by without stopping. Because of this school, I lost my job, was forced to give up my beautiful apt to live in a shoebox in Clifton surrounded by drunk college kids, and I've put so many miles on my car its on the verge of breaking down. Parents, stay away!! I'm going back to Indiana!!
