Great school! The staff really cares, and instill a true community feeling throughout the school. The small class sizes mean the students get lots of individualized instruction!

We just LOVE Annunciation. From the quality of education to the diversity of the school- it is unmatched. We are transplants from a public school and the only regret I have about it is that I did not transfer my children sooner! We have fallen in love with the teachers and the staff. My children just adore being there. Honestly, they have read more and in general, have done so much more this year even with all the Covid restrictions than they have in any other year of school. It is a true hidden gem.

My children love this school, they thrive academically and have made lifelong friends at this school. I have much respect for the Teachers and Principal, who go above and beyond everyday!

Principal Ertel is wonderful. My son is in his 7th year there and it has been great for him. The small class size allows for more one on one help.

We are in our second year at Annunciation Catholic School, I love the diversity of different ethnic groups. I fee that bullying could be addressed and campaigned better. Spanish is not strong, I would prefer that Spanish be at least three times a week.

This is a great private neighborhood school that's thriving and getting better every year. Annunciation has been giving kids their life foundation for more than a century in Clifton. Many folks who went to this school are now pillars of our neighborhood and society. Enrollment has been increasing for several years now (current year is 2014/2015) and most grades are full but not overloaded - a key to successful classroom management and maximum instruction time. There is a new principal as of this year, who is young, dynamic, full of energy and is making the school great. Athletics and extra curricular programs continue to grow. Students either go to Walnut Hills after 6th grade or stay on through 7th and 8th grade to continue in a top private school, St. Xavier and others. We've loved the way the teachers have cared for our children as they educate them. Most of all, we're confident that they'll continue on to great high schools and have the foundation to be wonderful, spiritual, and compassionate people with the integrity greatness.

Annunciation School is a small school with a diverse population in many ways. My children have thrived at this school with individual attention from the teachers and administrators. The Roman Catholic calendar is followed and can seem out of sync with the rest of popular society, Advent is celebrated until Christmas when the entire Christmas season is then celebrated. The Lent/Easter seasons are similar. However, despite the challenges of planning around this calendar the children have fun and most importantly learn the meaning of celebrating these Christian holidays. My children have been well prepared to move on to more demanding secondary schools and have had no problem passing entrance exams.

Annunciation is over 100 years old. Seen many highs & lows like any other school. Since the popular & large CPS German Magnet school moved in down the block, Annunciation has struggled to gain and keep local students in the bohemian yet affluent Clifton Gaslight. Majority of students come from outside of Clifton. Preschool - Primary grades are great. Upper grades have problems. Students and teachers come & go. Upper grades need to stabilize. New Principal is very young (under 35), but has good intentions. School does not knowledge or celebrate Christmas until January. Not warm & festive for children. Lent is equally depressing & oppressive for a grade school. The Clifton Community tries to be supportive of the school. Hopefully, Annunciation can make positive changes for a strong future.

No Christmas Decorations, plays/pageants, classroom Christmas Parties. Nothing. Unheard of in a Catholic/Christian grade school. Students spend too much time coloring religious themed pictures, in catechesis, morning prayer, and mass. School is a dump. Building needs some updates. Also, many students from other parts of town are dumped there because they flunked or could not hack it at another school. Hardly any Clifton Gaslight families with children there anymore. Sent my child to a neighborhood school to make neighborhood school friends and where are they? Not impressed with the leadership (priest, principal, pto president) at all. We did not last long. Placed our child in another school after Christmas Break.

Annunciation School turned 100 years old this school year, but is not wearing the milestone well. The longtime Principal resigned for a promotion downtown. 4 or 5 good families have left the school in the past year for other Catholic Grade Schools or Walnut Hills Jr. High. By 'good' I mean families with nice kids and parents that put in a lot of volunteer and fundraising time.. There have been some problems with fairness & coaching regarding the girls volleyball team too and public discord at the final games. It is like the school's spirit was broken in 2013-2014. I agree with EVERYTHING the reviewer from 1/25/14 stated. The school is diverse, in a nice part of Cincinnati, has good teachers, a nice pre school, etc. I also agree that the school building needs some updates like lockers for older kids and a new science lab. I wish leaders would look into these updates. We like the school and hope it can rebound.

This school is truly a hidden gem.It is very diverse where that diversity is treasured. The curriculum is top notch and both the teachers and principal care about the children. The parents seem to be involved and have taught their children to be respectful.

The teachers at this school are wonderful. They care about my children, as well as their growth in all aspects of their lives. However, the leadership at this school is severely lacking. The principal is definitely not consistent in her efforts to provide a stable school environment. Because of that, I assume that's why they cannot keep teachers (in middle school, at the very least,) for more than a year or so. This is extremely frustrating to me, which is why we have chosen a different school for our children. Until the school has a new principal, I encourage you to do the same.

I love Annunciation for my child. The school staff treats each kid with respect and love. Also, the children just overall look happy as you walk through the halls and are always polite. My son truly enjoyed his pre-school year and we both are looking forward to the Kindergarten program.
