I'm a parent of a current 6th grade student attending this school. In addition, I am a teacher and I can say that this school has helped my daughter read. There curriculum is phenomenal, her reading level has improved. I would give this school a 9/10. Great Teachers.

I have had various problems with this school over the years, but the school was at it's best when Dr. luna was principle. Now with the new prinicple thigs are at their worst. My child is in special education and I feel like the standards or assisting children has now fallen in the shadow of budget cuts and trying to oust children with low test scores instead of helping them succeed. I am in the process of researching private schools so my child no longer has to be educated at this poor learning insitution.

Well so much for DEI and DII. what a waste of resources. They didn't help the scores at all.

This school was a great school until they changed the principal. Dr. Luna was very involved and constantly worked with the teachers and parents to lift the test scores. The new principal sad to say is the complete opposite. Test scores have gone down, moral among teachers seems low and the school overall is a disaster. My son will not be returning next year, which makes me sad because we will need to start over at another school.

My daughter is finishing 2nd grade now and this is our first year with EJ Marshall. I will say that we got a great teacher but I am hesitant about how our second year will go. the PTO is ok but I felt alienated by them because of lack of communication. I am not very excited about fundraising with them because of it and I am a very involved parent! but overall my child has had a very good experience and good teaching. I really like the principle because he gets out with the kids and he is very visible (unlike our last school). the kids love and respect him and that's very important. like many schools trying to get by with less I appreciate that he reaches out and reminds people to donate if they can. And I do. I hope to have another great report for this time next year when my daughter is in 3rd grade... and let's hope our testing goes well this year! overall I feel that education is a big focus and the teachers show alot of effort in teaching our kids despite the bigger classrooms and lack of funds. I pray for all our teachers because their job is sooooo important.
