My child is in her second year in the school. She has loved her teachers and they do a lot of social emotional learning as well as academics. The school has many cultural events. Most of the students are Mexican American and my kid loves those events. Because she's not Mexican, they also accomodate her to observe and teach about our cultural customs. The Special Education is especially strong. Many surrounding schools push out disabled students to raise test scores. But Telpochcalli accepts all students and supports them. The curriculum is not only about academics, but helps students feel love and support for themselves and others with disabilities. The multilingual program is strong. It starts from Pre-K but you can enter at any time and they have special classes to catch you up if your kid is coming from a monolingual schools.

The worst school EVER!!!! My children go here and one of my daughters was getting bullied the school never called me to inform me. My child came forward to her teacher and was brushed off, mind you this happened since last year and the start of the school year august 22,2022 and I’m still waiting to have a conference with the other child parents because my child came home crying saying she doesn’t wanna go to school because her bully told her that she would be better off d**d. The children spend more time outside playing than in the classroom getting help in what they are failing in! I will be moving my kids to a different school I do not repeat DO NOT recommend this school to any parent my child still has to sit next to bully everyday! And I’ve complained to the school multiple times and nothing has been done aside from the school saying “ kids will be kids they will be friends tomorrow again “ I will be reporting the school to the board of education. WORST SCHOOL EVER!! My kids weren’t growing in this school and wasn’t learning anything now they are moved to a new school and are back to being straight A’S students! We still get harassed by the kids of this school they have no respect for adults that work in the school and the ones that just walk by to drop off their kids to school! Now the kids of this school know what car we drive and we have a Autistic 3 year old that goes to Saucedo and they always hit our car with the balls and it’s only our car because the kids watch us as they do it as to saying hahaha you can’t do nothing! I’m sick of this school and the principal is a joke she doesn’t care about anything especially when my daughter was getting bullied the school has no structure and no consequences when the kids are disrespectful instead they reward them by always and I mean always having them outside playing instead of in the class room this school has damaged my kids emotionally and they no longer trust any staff member in the school.
