Really good Catholic School. Teachers are nice and provide great learning environment and quality of education. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. The school is quick to respond and resolve any questions or concerns. St. Juliana is involved within the community with fundraisers and events all year long. There is lots to do for child/parent activities as well.

Absolutely thrilled with the quality of education at Saint Juliana. We took our children hear after trying the Park Ridge Public School system. This school truly cares about your children and everyone is fully engaged in ensuring your child is getting the best quality education. Saint Juliana’s school and staff has really shined through the pandemic by demonstrating their commitment to their students.

Extremely happy with Saint Juliana. Besides a wonderful faith filled education, it has made our family be part of a great community. The academics continue to improve and extra curricular options for children have grown.

Saint Juliana stands out as a great school, not just academically (a Blue Ribbon School), but also in developing the character of its students and keeping students engaged. There are lots of extracurricular activities, including a strong athletics program but also unique options like cooking, fashion design, and video game programming. Morning and afternoon extended care for students is a blessing for working parents. There's a new STEAM lab and new playground in the courtyard. It's a great school to be at, and it provides a welcoming environment for students as well as parents.

We love SJS! The school and Parish are very active and upbeat. They are always improving things so our kids have the best possible education and environment. They just got new windows in part of the school and updated the courtyard with brand new play equipment, turf, decking and benches. There's also a brand new STEAM lab for the older kids. I don't know much about the "big kid" classes since my son is in PK, but I've heard great things and have met a few WONDERFUL teachers of the higher grades. The class sizes are smaller (there are two 3 year old PK and two 4 year old PK's instead of one giant class for each). PK follows the Big Day curriculum and keeps very active. Since my son has started PK4 he has learned so much! We also love that there is after care both before and after school. We don't use the before school care but we do use Extended Care for after school, which makes life easier for working parents. I also love that the teachers all have their own blogs and post pictures and information about what the kids do all day.

St Juliana is the best! Instruction and support are provided on both ends of the spectrum-interventions for students who need extra support and advanced classes for students who excel. SJS has so many new and exciting things going on from a new STEAM lab and courtyard to numerous after school sports and clubs.

This is a warm, nurturing community that celebrates what makes each student unique. With the recent upgrades to the building (new STEAM lab, new courtyard and playground, upgraded library) the students have the world at their fingertips.

St. Juliana school is a small, Catholic school on the Northwest side. They don't have the type of resources that other Catholic schools in the area have, and the administration does not work well with families who have children who need any type of classroom accommodations. My son had very basic accommodations that were not followed. He now attends a public school, where he tested in the 94th percentile for reading on the NWEA test; his test scores allow him to apply to CPS Gifted Schools. Instead of embracing his intelligence, they labeled him as a "difficult" child and sat him in the hallway to do his work. A bullying situation went undocumented, despite the procedures outlined in the Catholic Schools handbook. This school has many families that attend generation after generation; they tend to support the school regardless of what other students experience. Because this school does not accept any funding from the state, there is no legal requirement for them to even follow their own guidelines.

St. Juliana is by far the best school on the Northwest Side! St. Juliana has met all of our expectations for our daughters. We are so happy that our girls are going to a school with a rigid academic structure and a strong religious component. Also, there are so many opportunities for extra-curricular activities outside of sports. The investment into this Blue Ribbon school is a smart one!

St. Juliana is a wonderful school. The sense of community is felt inside and outside of the school. My husband attended SJS and now both of my boys do. They love attending school and have met great friends and are learning to lead a faith filled life. The teachers at SJS are also phenomenal, they are committed to educating the students.

St. Juliana is a Blue Ribbon school that has met every one of our expectations. They have active parent's groups and plenty of after school activities for the kids. They provide a strong faith filled environment that we would not receive in public schools.

St. Juliana is an excellent catholic educational institution with phenomenal leadership in the administration that provides an inclusive, faith based approach to learning. The strong St. Juliana community rallies around providing the students the best experience possible through fundraising and extra-curricular programs. The parish priests are a very strong positive influence on the kids and are very involved in the sacraments and daily learning activities within the school. St. Juliana's focus on common core standards, technology, individual learning plans, and faculty training ensure the school stays ahead on academic performance. I have had four kids attend St. Juliana and my wife and I also attended St. Juliana and believe strongly in the value of the investment we're making in the future of our kids.

If you are looking for a strong, faith-filled grammar school for your children's education, I recommend St. Juliana Catholic school. We have 1 son still attending and 2 have graduated. Our sons who graduated were well prepared for high school and got into the college of their choice. The school continues to improve its standards led by a new principal who embraces change. Keeping up with technology, retaining the best teachers, listening to parent's the consumers along with managing higher costs is a challenge for any business. SJS excels at this task while building our children's foundation. I believe that it is important to Invest in our children's education which is a sacrifice we make every day but it is priceless.

St. Juliana is a great place for my children to learn not only academics, but also about becoming a good person and a person of faith. The parent and family involvement is phenomenal making for a great community to be involved with. Our new principal, Mrs. McDermott, truly cares about making our school better and this is reflected in all the faculty and staff as well.

St. Juliana is an excellent school in a wonderful community. The school, parish, and community really work together to make school a great experience for all children. Their mission is to create a school where children can learn, grow, thrive and be ready for their future. I believe they are succeeding in doing this. We have great parent involvement which only enhances the success of our school. I truly believe that my children will be fully prepared for high school because of the education at St. Juliana School. I couldn't be happier with the leadership and teachers at St. Juliana School. They are the core of the school and they truly care about St. Juliana.

As an alumni and parent of a student of St.Juliana, I have always enjoyed the sense of family that the school represents. Not only the great education that my daughter is receiving, The teachers are great. These teachers are that, they want to teach. That shows in respect that is they did not go for the money, they are in it to teach. The principal has taken a school that was behind in technology and is implementing great programs so the student and parents can view all aspects of a great education. Sincerely Bob Grotthuss

Saint Juliana is unique because of what it means to the community. The families that attend St. Juliana are by no means rich but make incredible sacrifices to ensure their kids are given an opportunity to learn in a environment where everybody is responsible for the success of students. Parents, teachers and students all work towards not just educating students on the basics, rather the focus is on creating a well-rounded, selfless students that are well equipped to handle all of life's challenges. Several students are second and third generation and teachers spend their entire careers there. So many families give so much to make this an incredible school. Volunteers coach sports, teach art and put on an incredible play every year. So it is not just one thing that makes this school great, it is everything and everyone.
