First, I liked to say that James Shields School is the best elementary school ever. Second, to the parent who complained about the school on April 27,2012, you don't know Shields as much as us (the students). Have you ever attended that school? No, so why are you complaining? You should be thankful your daughter has an education. I learned a lot from that school and they had always helped me. Not to mention, I got a $2,000 scholarship to Manchester University because of Shields. Mr. Kazz ,the music teacher at shields, has taught students the skills necessary to perform music. Since 6th grade I've been playing music and was in Advanced band all four years of high school. I had schools coming to me offering me more music scholarships to go to their school. Shields did that, they helped me with everything I needed. Maybe you should stop complaining and help your daughter a little more, Just saying.

This school is so horrible my daughters teacher is a waste of space in the classroom . I am transferring my child out because I don't see her be challenge at all or cared for . The staff in the office THEY NEVER KNOW ANYTHING !!! They must sit around everyday and not pay attention..Then they the school has outbreaks of lice left and right and I ask parents if there kids get checked when they go back to school and they all said no so if a kid goes back and has lice again no one checks to make sure it gone .Worst school ever

I went to this school since kindergarden and i graduated from here. Its a really good school and the teachers really care about their students.I love this school and i always go visit it even though im a Sophmore in Thomas Kelly hs now. The thing i loved the most about this school is that starting from 6th grade you start to get training in school. When i was in 8th grade we got lockers,I.D's, And scedule. This really helped me and once more very good school.

i went to this school, from 6-8 and i loved it, yes it in rough neighborhood, but, it is safe, and the teacher really care about their students, my younger siblings also went to this school, and loved it! I have seen a lot of the teacher that taught me grow into administrator roles, and really love this school!
