Our family absolutely loves Pritzker. We have a kindergartener and a first grader here. It is a warm, supportive environment for our kids and their friends. The teachers are incredibly caring and dedicated. The community is robust--other parents and families are very actively involved with supporting the school. We couldn't be happier!

We have two children in the fine arts (neighborhood) track and they both love it. We are quite involved in the school and it seems other parents and children all seem to have a similar very positive experience. Excellent teachers, great academics with emphasis on the arts, wonderful community, and engaged parents. We are so thrilled with our neighborhood school and would highly recommend!

Our family has been at this school for a couple years and it has gotten from mediocre to being the worst.I find the leadership lacking, the teachers instruction insufficient, the staffing disrespectful, and the organization of this school dysfunctional. I would like to be a more involved parent so I know what my child is learning, but have been given little to no information regarding curriculum. There seem to be favoritism among teachers with their pet students and I don’t see how it is equal for all students. I thought this year could be different, but so far it has been a big disappointment.

Have student in FA program going into 1st grade. Our kindergarten experience was wonderful. We were thrilled with our student's progress and loved their teacher. We are very excited for the grades to come and to enroll our youngest when the time comes. The main negative that could stand to be improved would be communication coming from administration. As new parents we felt left in the dark about logistics. Frequently we didn't know where to drop off our student during inclement weather and just had to wait to see what everyone else was doing. I got the feeling that teachers were also at the whim of back and forth decisions re: logistics etc. (most certainly exacerbated by covid protocols).

Great school run by a great principal. Remote learning was great and the response to the pandemic was amazing. The school provides a challenging curriculum in a caring environment along with a robust arts program. We are very happy with the education both of our kids received at Pritzker.

Worst school ever! No emotional support! Only expecting a student who is ‘perfect’Poor academic curriculum.Yelling teachers,Principal is bossy. If you have a gifted child who have a potential to be successful in academics, consider other options.

My daughter is in 1st grade at Pritzker and we are very happy with the school. She has a wonderful teacher and she loves the specials classes. It is a great community even though many students don’t live in the near vicinity. Although, we have a great neighborhood school, we chose to try Pritzker and are very happy with this decision.

This school is not organized. There is a severe lack of communication from the administration. Assignments and homework is rare. Classroom sizes are extremely large. The school doesn’t have a formal discipline policy and does not involve parents on any disciplinary issues.

Pritzker is a great school, with great teachers who are very caring and dedicated to the children. When the students need extra help, they take the time out to help them.

We are very happy with our experience at Pritzker Elementary School and the teachers our daughter had in Pre K and K.

Yes, I would recommend this school. My child went through the options program for K and 1 (before we had to move). I think the specials program (art, music, drama) is increidble Althogh the Options K teacher was not my favorite, the Options 1st grade teacher was AMAZING. She in conjuction with the communicative principal and outstanding arts program made this pandemic year far less traumatic. I was incredibly impressed by what Prtizker had to offer online and the care they took to bring the students back to the classroom. We would have stayed if we didn't have to move.

Too much homework for elementary school students, so I docked one star for that.

My family and I are generally happy with the environment at Pritzker FA. I have two young children who attend Pritzker FA since pre-k and kdg respectively. I would have to say most* teachers are open and communicative. The overall faculty and staff are welcoming. The principal and former AP always returned my emails and phone calls. I do believe instruction could be more ambitious or challenging particularly for the the middle grades. Also, I like that before and after school care is available. However, it is not cheap and is offered through a contractual vendor. Overall, I would recommend Pritzker to other families. I am very likely to not have my children stay during the upper grades. Some of the behavior displayed by the older children is concerning.

My children have thrived here in the fine arts program at A.N. Pritzker. We even had an option a few years in for the gifted program as they tested high enough and there was a seat available. The teachers and administration at this school have helped our children achieve fantastic selective enrollment placements (Lane Tech & LP Double Honors) . From the one on one personnel attention given to the students/parents if it's wanted or needed, to the front office staff and principle's always knowing what our family's specific needs were at the time. This school is a fantastic choice for any family starting their youngsters on the path within CPS, but get on it early - spots fill up fast!

Our son tested into the Options program for 7th grade. We left private school in Chicago to move to Pritzker and our son was challenged for the first time! He has truly enjoyed the curriculum, the teachers and classmates. He moved during Covid and started with elearning until moving to the hybrid model. He has really enjoyed the experience and feels he is finally with the right peer set. He is challenged by project, his teachers and classmates to work hard and strive to excel. I am very happy with the transition after spending 8 years at a private school where my son was bored, was not challenged at all and was never given an opportunity to accelerate his education. Way to go Pritzker school! Best decision we made for our son was switching him to Pritzker!

I had one child in the fine arts (neighborhood) program and one in options (gifted), and both of them had amazing experiences from pre-K through 8th grade graduation. The teachers are all very caring and attentive to the kids, and the principal and admin staff take the effort to get to know everyone, and my kids never experienced or even witnessed bullying. Pritzker has an impressive Friends of Pritzker group that does fundraising for the school, so in our 10 years as a Pritzker family, we have seen the school get so many improvements. Another great aspect of the school is that there are a ton of options for extracurricular activities. Both of my kids got into excellent selective enrollment high schools, and that is a testament to the high quality teachers at Pritzker.
