Pleasantly surprised by Bloom Trail High School. My daughter is a high honor roll, Pre AP and AP student who has participated in band, ceramics and Drivers Ed. Trail was not in my choices of High Schools for my child, respectfully but I have no regrets in being a part of the family of parents, students, faculty, teachers and administrators at this school and in this district. That is what it is, a family. My daughter is well adjusted and excelling. She is well on her way to becoming a successful woman, with her societal and career goals firmly in sight. I am recommending this school and also encouraging vital parent participation and collaboration with the school, teachers, coaches, leaders and village as we raise successful and healthy adults, so essential to our communities. The diversity is as balanced as the focus on graduating young adults who are more than ready for the world. Good job. Keep up the good work, everyone. This Mom truly appreciates it. I was once a doubter and skeptic as a picky, discerning parent but now Trail and District 206 have my lifelong support and endearment. Go, Class of 2024 and all the rest! Strive for excellence always and it will be your reality. Peace.

Don’t always believe what others say until you actually see the school and staff are great!!

It was miserable and my parents failed me and my future by putting me here. My counselor informed me of being able to drop myself out of school and encouraged me to do so. Also I was pressured into gang activity, beaten, amd robbed multiple times. If your white, dont do this to your children no matter how strong the lessons you may think your teaching them by being poor and not caring of their future.

Bloom Trail is certainly making leaps and bounds with curriculum, diffusing behavioral issues, school programing and building a sense of community. I'd say that all the school needs now is for parents to become more involved and assist the district with returning Bloom Trail to its former glory. My child is truly enjoying her time at Bloom Trail, she is earning good grades and is definitely college ready.

This school is one of the worst schools ive ever seen. The floors are stained and the walls have cracks all over. The teachers refuse to listen to the childern and shovel them off to graduation so they dont need to deal with them. The test scores are below the illlinois average and the us average by a significant measure. Dont send your kid here.

I rated Bloom Trail as unsatisfactory due to the FACT that the faculty/staff put more effort into disciplining the students than educating them. They keep the children out of classes by placing them in in-school suspension and out-of-school suspension for the smallest infraction, i.e. wearing a very thin jacket in the cold building during winter. I've noticed that when the kids try to defend themselves for a write-up by a teacher that they felt was unjust, the deans give them a harsher punishment. The teachers and deans are very disrespectful to both the parents and the students. They, like most other high schools and even elementary schools are teaching the kids backwards. When my son asked the teacher about why he got an answer wrong (according to the computer) when he could prove it was right, the teacher said "I know, it's just the way it is." They are preparing the children for prison not college. That school is a mess from the faculty/staff to the interior of the building. Look at the moldy ceiling, the very old and broken lockers, no air in the summer, and no heat in the winter. Nothing about that school is condusive to learning.
