    Westchester Intermediate School is a beacon of safety and educational excellence within the district. The school consistently offers a secure environment where children are appropriately challenged and supported in their learning journey. With a plethora of opportunities available, students are encouraged to engage in various activities that foster personal growth and team spirit. Our principal, widely regarded as the best in the district, leads with a visionary and compassionate approach, creating an atmosphere where every child feels valued. The teachers at Westchester are exceptional—supportive, kind, and caring. They go above and beyond to ensure that each student's educational needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Westchester is truly a place where parents can feel confident that their children are in good hands.

    WIS is an excellent school. Administrators foster parent/child partnership in education, supports social emotional learning, prioritizes safety and collaboration with consistent safety practices on school property and off. Like all Duneland Schools, it’s a gem of the community.

    Please, for the sake of you and your child don’t send your kid here. There are vapes,rudeness, rude kids, and rude staff. I am warning. Teachers are good, staff are very disrespectful and rude, I’m disappointed. As safety school is good, they are good at protection, but protection from kids be rude, and bullying. No. Don’t send your child here. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this school. - Parent

    Terrible school. No diversity, vapes, dirty, rude staff, education is terrible, the list could go on. Never send a child here please.
