This was terrible. I haven't ever been to a possibly worse school. This school puts utterly no effort into anything and the bullying problem is atrocious. I can currently see why this school had a 2.4 rating beacuse i have barely learned anything from this experience other than how to avoid current bullies in the halls. I have gotten called fat or pudgy and have been body shamed and harassed at this school not to mention i have only encountered about three teachers that where actually good at there job and actually made a difference in this school and i pitty them for having to waste there time on this dump of a school. I have been left at the school without a ride home before as a result of the schools poor functionality as well as been threatened with scissors and there was barely anything done about it. Not to mention my health is at risk due to the amount of people who vape in the bathrooms.

This school has some amazing teachers but there isn't enough good teachers to justify it. I have had many bad experiences with this place. I have had teachers who were bullies and just rude. There is lots of favoritism in the sporty people and the "popular kids". The school tells everyone that they are preventing bullying but i see it go on around me and when ive seen people speak to the school about it they have ignored the complaints or just didn't care enough to do anything. Those few wonderful teachers make this place better and are some of the only good things about it

Just judging the general illiteracy of the comments I know this school has failed in its mission.

When I went to this school, it was falling apart. Leaks in the ceiling, falling parts of the ceiling, broken windows from troublesome students. They have seen done a complete remodel for the school. This is a town school. There is a sense of community with it that you will not receive in bigger city schools. The teachers always did their best with what they had available, whether it be worn down books and equipment and taught us to the best they could. When comparing other schools on different sites. Hoosac had the half of its students enrolled in AP classes. This is a sports school, they take pride in their sports and encourage all students to participate in some extracurricular activity. I moved across the country and have worked in numerous different schools and I look fondly back at what Hoosac has offered me in comparison to those schools. The leadership was good, the teachers were observant, and the student body(back when I was in) had low bullying.
