I am going into my 5th year teaching at Riverside High School. Of all the schools in the area I don't really see myself teaching anywhere else. I enjoy coming to work each day and interacting with the other staff members. Riverside is a small community that creates a home and family-like atmosphere under great leadership of superintendent Dr. Russell and principals at each of the schools. Each classroom has a smart TV and each student is assigned to an individual Chromebook. The staff really cares about the well being of each of the students at all grade levels and, as a whole, Riverside has a great group of kids. Riverside prioritizes providing students with opportunities and preparing students for life after they graduate. We offer dual credit/AP classes, clubs, such as FFA and game club, successful sport programs, and small businesses affiliated with the school and trade programs. I highly recommend Riverside to anyone moving to the area.

We choice into Riverside School District to give our children the same small class sizes, caring and experienced Educators and community that surround the students that my husband and I experienced. My children have enjoyed their learning experience at Riverside and the friendships that they have made. My children have had the opportunity to use 3D modeling, build rockets, take honors, CTE courses like Construction, AG Science and Health Occupation. Our current Superintendant, Dr. Ken Russell and his team of administrators have made the culture of belonging and poistiivity fluoirsh! Dr Russell goes to great lenghts to support the children, whether it be at a play, concert, awards ceramony or sporting event! He is everywhere all the time and I do not know how he does it! We have also witnessed so many teachers going above and beyond to make sure that the students are successful in learing and in life! When I have asked my children if they are happy with where the are going to school they loudly exclaim YES! They cannot imagine going anywhere else!

The overall tone of the district is community. In a time of national divisiveness Riverside has developed a truly unique culture of community wide belonging. The care for individual students extends well beyond the walls of the schools and into homes and gathering places. There are problems everywhere but when my son experienced bullying or a major health crisis the school and district where there with support, care, and encouragement. No where is perfect but the true sense of community here is truly unique.

Riverside School District is the beating heart of the community. A rural district in a beautiful setting offering an excellent educational opportunity for students. Riverside offers a well rounded learning experience with vocational courses as well as Advanced Placement classes and special needs programs. My children attended Riverside K -12 … all graduated and went on to earn advanced degrees in their fields thanks to the great foundation they received. Due to the smaller size of the district students are known individually to teachers, counselors and administrators. They have many options for participating in sports, clubs, music and the arts.Any organization is only as great as its leadership. Riverside is fortunate to have true leadership. From the Superintendent to the school board, building administrators and Teachers the goal is to offer the best possible academic, social and emotional education for students. When disaster strikes, as it did during the Oregon Road fire, the school becomes the epicenter for every facet of support to our community. Riverside School District is a gem in the woods!!

My son is a newer student at the high school. We relocated earlier in the year and he transferred late in the year. I was very happy with how the school dealt with the transfer and got him into a good schedule. My son is very happy at this school. The students, teachers, and counselors I have met have all been very nice and helpful.

As a retiree resident patron, I volunteer less as health problems increase. I support our Riverside Community activities positively. I appreciate the invitations to volunteer in the schools. I like stopping by the student-operated cafe for great coffee and visits. School levy tax campaigns need participation. I'll put a sign by my driveway and wave signs at rallies and VOTE!

More Drama than learning. The teachers seem to be the bullies as well. Followed by of course the students.

Principle of riverside high school in Chattaroy Washington does not listen to complaints about teachers he puts the teachers first over students even if A parent has proof of the teacher in question not being honest and ridiculing my teenager in the classroom and with another parent of a teenager in the classroom as a parent I find this very appalling
