  Where do I even begin? My child goes to Movement NW and this is their second year being open. I gave them the benefit of the doubt their first year (2023-2024) and made excuses for how unorganized they were because they were new. However, we are a month into the school year and I am livid with the lack of communication from the teachers and how is it that it is even more unorganized this year?Every event they throw is completely unorganized. Tell me HOW they completely missed a day for spirit week that THEY planned. Tell me HOW they don't even know what sight words are being quizzed, they tell me 6 words one day and then send another 30 words the next day. Tell me HOW they can't even get their quizzes and homework dates correct when they are the ones that create it. Do not even get me started on the pick up and drop off line, even the staff looks to be confused. I have seen them try to put a child in the wrong car every day since the beginning of school, even though the parent has the child's name on their dashboard.They spoke about how they will transition the children into different classrooms based on their levels. NOPE, my child is still sitting here learning math stories that are too easy. I also believe they placed my child in a guided reading level that is below where they actually should be, just so they can say that my child "improved" or maybe it'll help their schooling test scores. Because there is no way my child is reading way above her grade level at home but is a lower step level at school. My child was bored last year in kindergarten, and is again not being challenged this year.They implemented a new dress code this year that includes all black shoes and the requirement to wear their backpacks and their cardigans. If they put just as much effort on the kids education and supporting their minds as they do with the uniform, then maybe it would be a better school.Movement schools paint this pretty picture for you when you first apply. You get the 'we are family, we are a small community, we put the kids first, we put their education first.' But when you've been accepted and start going to the school it is all downhill from there. It's a facade to get you to want to go to the school, but trust me DO NOT DO IT!It is all just empty promises!Please save yourself the headache and stress. It is bad when my child has better communication than the teachers and staff. They care more about their image than the actual children. ...More Reviews
