Classes are small and individualized attention can be helpful. However, the students are very sheltered from what the real world is like and many have difficulty in higher education because of this. Most of the teachers care about the students a but are not always well versed in current educational methods and tend to not follow state guidelines. Some of the courses are put together with no regard to standards or needs for required state testing. This puts students at a deficit when they take college classes. The top students at the school earn well deserved accolades for their grades but are not academically equivalent to students from a larger high school who earn the same grades, they have a hard time competing in a larger and more diverse school.

Parish Hill is a small community school that offers a wealth of AP courses and varied opportunities to the students. I am proud of the students, staff, PTO, and administration at the school.

Great school! Family atmosphere and small teacher to student ratio creates a perfect learning environment. Volunteerism is taught as an important part of being a global citizen and they spend a lot of time developing students character and integrity.

My personal experience with this school as a parent was negative, but my greatest concern is the fact that it is financially unsustainable for the three towns it serves. All reports show that the students would be better served by other schools (some of them blue-ribbon) in the area, with greater opportunities for the students at far less cost per pupil. I am also very suspicious of the 16 glowing reviews posted in just the last five days by "a parent" - seems like someone is trying to stack the deck. Let the reader beware!

Kids learn in an effective private school like environment where the teachers can and do teach to the children's personalities. Test scores are some of the best in the region and the state. Active sports teams that almost anyone can be a part of and arts and music programs that are award winning.

Two of my children are attending this school with a third going in the future and I feel very fortunate that they have this opportunity. My children are challenged, engaged and encouraged to do well and succeed. They take honors courses and participate in band and sports and both have a very well rounded education. They have tremendous opportunity, more than they would have in a larger school. Parish Hill students have the tools that they will need to succeed and excel in life. The school has a 100% graduation rate and I am proud to say that we are part of this community.

My child attended this school as a 7th grader this year and was impressed by the sense of community. The teachers, with the exception of one, were excellent and worked hard to teach the students and get them engaged. The sports, art and music programs are very strong as well.

My son will be going into his sophomore year this fall. He loves the small class sizes and individualized attention. There are many new teachers at this school who bring alot of energy and new ideas with them

Wonderfull teachers and class advisors. I have two college prepared children, one who is going on to study a career in music education thanks to six years of awesome music instruction. Our close knit community setting is one of a kind.

My son is a Junior and has had the best possible educational experience I could have asked for. Wonderful, attentive teachers, small class sizes, sports and a push to succeed. He is on to great things thanks to Parish Hill!

Both my children attend PHHS, they are involved in music and athletics program. The music program, especially the chorus has improved tremendously over the years. This is a reflection of the teacher. She makes the students excited to be there. As for the athletics, I realize that being a small school the league may not be made up of hard teams but on the other hand, with the exception of a few students, do we honestly feel as parents that our child will be the next superstar! I feel the coaching staffs do a great job! How long has it been that 7 teams in one school. The education that any school offers and what your child makes of it is up to them! One of my children had some issues with cyber bullying as soon as it was brought to the schools attention immediate action was taken and everything was resolved. I fully support the teaching staff, administration, athletic director and all the coaches. They're intent is to make PHMHS a safe environment and help our children continue to grow.

This school isn't alright, as a student I feel the need to address this. One student got assaulted by another and nothing was done at all about it. I wish I could leave, dear god I do.

Words cannot describe how terrible this school is! Please please read everything you possibly can before moving to any towns that would be sending your children to Parish Hill Middle/High. My daughter has been bullied by people in this school for a year, students pushing her to the verge of making a indirect comment that got her suspended for 3 days making her anxiety escalate to the point she is seeing a therapist. Mind you with the new law that passed a few years ago, they cannot suspend out of school unless they are a direct threat and have a history of violence. This school WILL NOT I repeat WILL NOT do anything about bullying. Cyber bullying, let your kids do as much as they want, they will not get in trouble, infact,.. if it's your child getting bullied the odds are things will be completely turned around on them. If your child has a disability of any sort, ADD on on a 504plan? you would think they would be getting special help right? Wrong! 1 out of 4 teachers will reply back to your emails . Not to mention, somebody can pick your middle school child up at school, sign them out without your consent and guess what? You will get a "sorry and that's not our policy".

This past week I was in awe of the students spirit towards state testing, the cheering support of teachers and administrators, the promise of ice cream sundae celebration after testing to unify us all, the music at lunch, the students high fiving their teachers and principal. The joy and excitiment in the building is great. Our pride and effort has grown in the past three years. Our school numbers are growing. Parish Hill is a wonderful rough gem on its way to being a rare jewel.
