This school is outstanding. The teachers are good, and the place is welcoming overall. But, with all things, there are some problems. For example, during drills like lockdown, I don't think staying in the classroom is safe because what if an intruder comes who knows the layout of the school? What happens then? Also, putting your head on your knees during tornado drills isn't safe because there are videos showing roofs getting ripped off of schools. But, overall the school is a good place to be and I think parents should bring their children here because it's a safe and welcoming environment. (The homework is painful).

I love JMS. What I love about it is that we get to choose what we do. From our friends to behavior to classes, I can choose it all. When I first got to JMS, I was worried nobody was going to like me because I hadn't come from an Anoka Hennepin school. But, because the kids here are so nice, they decided to welcome me with warm arms. I know this review isn't much..but Jackson Middle School is a great school for kids, and I love it.God bless you, have a lovely rest of your day/night!

I'm only in 7th grade and go to JMS but i've learned a lot of stuff that can help me in the real world, handling bullies, taxes, basic math, writing essays-the 5 paragraphs (for college), and ext. and since i've already got the hang of it I can only get better right? I have to agree that they don't really do much with bullies, but you can turn that either into a good thing or a bad thing. For example, you can show those bullies i don't care what you say and don't give them a reaction, don't let them ruin your day and forget about it and become stronger to the point where they give up, or you could start crying yourself to sleep every night, and start believing that your ugly or stupid because that's what your toxic friend said or this random hater said. You can always choose. That's how i feel about this school. And lastly if any parents are reading this lol and you have a son please tell them if your going to look at a girl try to talk to them, and please don't look/stare at them for more than 20 seconds, its awkward.

My child was seriously, physically harmed and when a threat of physical harm was brought to the attention of a staff person, that staff member did not take it serious. If your child is very social and outgoing I would not recommend this school for your child.

I was not impressed with any part of my experience at this school. There were fights in the hallways everywhere you looked and the teachers were never available for one-on-one help. I was also placed in a lower level of math, which I excelled at, and it is now affecting me with the college application process because I was so far behind in that subject.

I went to JMS and i can for sure tell you that this school has a lot of academic programs but they are pricey so if you want to be on the cheer leading squad it costs like 80 dollars per month or something and the teachers do not really give any homework and you barely have something to do but as a student of course I am going to like it as a parent I wouldn't dare taking my child there!!!
