CPHS is great in terms of academia and the wide variety of non-athletic extracurricular activities. As an alum, I can attest to the fact that the teachers are always so willing to help you and push you to do your best. However, there are a few cons as well. My previous counselor was not much help in terms of pushing me to challenge and do my best. When I asked her for advice on classes, she pointed me to the easy classes -- classes that required little to no effort to obtain an "A." In addition, many of the athletic activities required a large fee. Since many of the non-white students' family typically do not earn enough to pay the 200+ dollar fee, the team lacks diversity that could bring new perspectives.
