Instead of nuturing dreams and aspirations, the narrow-minded faculty and staff stiffle them. This district allows popularity, teacher's favorites and your last name to guide decisions rather than the reality of who is deserving of the opportunity. Opportunities are given to the same ones over and over whether it is right or not. It is a sad day when in a public school that all tax dollars fund, you have to be a local to get recognized for anything. This school's staff and faculty are detrimental to the well-being of good students who deserve opportunities. It makes it tougher to get into college because the student is not afforded the opportunities and experiences they should have been allowed to achieve.

If you are new to this area of Missouri, you would be a fool to send your child here. Move to Warrensburg, their schools are better funded and hire better teachers. Crest Ridge plays favorites with children of locals. I started there in first grade and was treated like dirt all the way up until I graduated High School just because my parents weren't "from" there. They put very little focus on academics. For the sake of your child's future, send them to Warrensburg, even if you have to pay out-of-district fees.

If you have not bought a house in this school district, DON'T. You will regret the purchase. Everything seems disorganized and poorly, if ever, communicated. The communication is poor, a few connected parents run everything, alot of unfair subjectivity by staff, teachers do not care or understand the importance of including parents in a minor child's educational experience. There are very few opportunities for an objective education. Does not offer a variety of classes or extracurricular activities for a child to grow and be competitive for scholarships and University entrances. Most have very little regard for dual working families and scheduling times for activities. Some teachers hold personal issues against students. Athletes and athletics seem to be the most important. Avoid this school district at all costs! I wish someone would have been honest on these things so I wouldn't be in the situation I am.
