Great school, so many positive attitudes and fun events! Great vibes and I totally felt safe there! Movie nights, family fun nights, and art shows and many more! Plus, Miss Buttler the music teacher plans amazing plays for all grade levels, and a big play for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! definitely recommend!

Excellent. My only issue at this school was the math instruction was weak. This affected my weaker math children through high school, unfortunately. It's a problem at all the schools, though. Too many teachers are teaching math by rote and don't really understand the basics, which hurts the kids' understanding as well.

Wonderful experience. We moved to the neighborhood for this school and never regretted that decision. It was a great environment for our girls to learn in!

We enjoyed Cypress for 8 years and loved all the parent involvement!

Both of our boys attended and graduated 5th grade from Cypress...we loved every year of it! There was a 7 year age difference between them and we can effectively say the schools environment was equally the same...supportive staff, incredible teachers, compassionate community!

We’ve loved our time at Cypress. In fact, we moved to this neighborhood so our kids could go to Cypress. Great community, excellent staff, friendly people. Lots of fun activities planned for students and families to become more of a Cypress family. I highly recommend this school!

This school is a complete mess from the top down. The teacher turnover is quite high, and there are constant issues between teachers and administration. There are few good teachers, but most are terrible. The first couple years, teachers are kind and work hard. The teachers are allowed to be pretty unprofessional with parents as well- friending select parents on social media and hanging out with some socially-well documented on social media. It has caused many parents to express concern about professional relationships. The administrations poor hiring and pressure to have students memorize for standardized testing cause this school to be very, very poor from 3rd grade on. Middle school math teachers in the district also label it as a school that does not prepare their students for middle school math for both PACE and grade-level. UNACCEPTABLE. I have 1 child finishing here this year, and I am pulling my other children to go to another school because I cannot fathom going through this any longer. Once STAAR is over, they just watch movies and have recess. Pathetic. The issues, both academic and social, raised with the principal always starts with a meeting where she promises to "investigate," but when you do hear back, she claims it to be "inconclusive" or "going to change immediately." I can tell you, this has never repaired the problem, or improved the over experience for students. The school also lacks opportunities that other, similar income schools in the area have, like a spelling bee, or Math Decathlon. If you value education, and your child's interested in more that just an opportunity to join running club, do yourself a favor, and avoid this school.
