In my time at this school, I have experienced some amazing teachers. On the other side of the coin, the school puts students in hazardous positions to come to school during days with icy and snowy roads. They simply do not care about the quality of life of the student, they are focused on making economic goals over the health of the students. I enjoyed my time here, but that was because of my peers and my teachers. Not because of the school.

I graduated here and have a step child that has gone since Kindergarten and is now a Senior (not through my decision). The school is huge and combines several different elementary, middle schools into the High School from all over the Jefferson County area. The high school has multiple principals assigned by your last name and each has their own rules. Not all kids are treated the same. The Senior has struggled and at times failing classes here. While our other child is in advanced classes and all straight A's in another district. Too big of a school to teach and control the kids

Put 5 kids through this school. First child was our adhd child and he did outstanding with the support from iep coordinator and the teachers from the regular classes he was in. He graduated. Next two kids, one involved in wrestling and football throughout and made good grades there. The other was involved in wrestling. Amazing wrestling coaches. The next is in her senior year and the youngest went there for freshman year but now lives with her mom in Wentzville. We won’t say anything about that district. The programs are amazing and the students have a lot of fun. The community is very involved every chance they get. Especially the sports moms. Northwest high school really is a good school with awesome teachers and awesome young adults.

This school is horrible they let students smoke in the class rooms They don’t want to deal with the kids at all they just let them run the school They have internet open for the kids to go to any website they want instead of doing school work They let the kids make out and do whatever in halls and where ever else They don’t inform you of anything going on and if they do it’s a week later

We moved to Northwest R-1 school district two years ago. I have been very pleased with the High School.

NHS students and staff are some of the most giving people I have ever met. They rally around each other in times of sickness and great need, raising funds for medical bills and collecting food, supplies, and clothes for those inside and beyond community boundaries. Teens will be teens. Teachers will get tired. But the generosity of this education community is inspiring.

This school is horrible! On more than one occasion the teachers touch or verbally down talk children. When confronted they admitted to this and were not punished. Teachers curse. Scream in your children's face with no concerns. Teachers will cover for eachother. Your children are bullied by other kids as well as staff.

Love this school and the district. We should all try to offer more support to our schools to fix what is wrong, rather than just complain about it. It is a shame more businesses don't move out to the area to help with our tax base. Many thanks to Subway for stepping up!!

You know, I have gone to Northwest my entire life and I love the school. It has its problems, as do other schools, but they aren't bad. We don't have massive clique issues or fighting issues. Yes, you may not be popular or get King and Queen nominations if you aren't well known, but you could be well known if you try. I am an active member of the schools drama club and choir and I love every second of it. Thanks to the choir program at Northwest, I realized I want to be a choir teacher. I love Northwest and am proud to say I am a LION.
