Currently, I have two kids who attend Clyde Hamrick. Overall, I am pleased with the school. I have a daughter who is in special education and a son who is academically gifted. Both of their needs are met. Their teachers have been positive influences on them, and the principal, in particular, is an excellent educator! My children have experienced issues with bullying, but I can appreciate the transparency from faculty members to keep my children, and others, safe.

We are blessed to have our 7yr old son attend Clyde Hamrick. It was a good school when our adult daughters attended. Things have improved! He was a covid child (missed out on preschool). Has a new principal and assistant principal. They are amazing! (Assistant principal actually left this year, was given a principal position within district. THEY ARE BEYOND LUCKY to have her! My son is VERY intelligent, but has ADHD that's pretty strong. They work so hard to make sure he succeeds. Do evaluations with appropriate staff, to track my son's progress, needs & levels. Have meetings with me to discuss everything and adjust his educational plan accordingly. They truly love him & it shows. They are patient and behave like one big family. (We did struggle with kindergarten teacher & it was not a great year for anyone. They used this situation to place him with the right teacher for his needs & personality. How first grade teacher was the best thing that could have happened! Clyde Hamrick has a lot of opportunities and encourage parental involvement. It is a small school for the district & we love that. They have lovely events throughout the year, to bring kids, patents & teachers together. Wish the school district would improve the property though. They own a lot of the land around Clyde Hamrick, but have always struggled with bus, parking/ drop off & pick up. This year, they finally made an improvement to that within the property already being used. Wish they'd use some of the owned property to increase vehicle efficiency. They continually make improvements regarding child safety. They understand the diversity of each childs learning process & accommodate to nurture their academic & emotional progress. This school is very up to date with latest personalized teaching methods.

I just wish the Teachers were kinder to our children. I mean if you don't have patience and yell at our children because you can't contain your bad mood or w/e you need to pick a different career. They are OUR children. And your student they deserve respect just as much as any of you adults.

My daughter is in K and my son just registered here. We love Clyde Hamrick! My daughter is excited to go to school and talks constantly about what they are learning in class. ONE time my daughter told me that there were some kids on the bus saying mean things to the other children, and the same day that we note to her teacher my child, a few of the other "picked on kids" and the "mean" kids sat down with the assistant principal one-on-one. The issue was addressed immediately and my child thought nothing more of it. The teachers have all been very caring and attentive toward my child, and I really have nothing bad to say!

I absolutely LOVE Clyde Hamrick!!! I wish everyone got the chance to experience this type individualized education. From the day we entered Clyde Hamrick, 8 years ago, with my oldest child it felt like HOME. They treat the children as if each one is a family member. If there are any issues or concerns the teachers are very interactive with the parents to help. When you come to this school you enter into top notch education and are welcome with open arms into a family not just a school. I wish my kids could stay here forever.

This school is not up to speed like other schools. Parents are only going to be out for the best interest of their INDIVIDUAL child. Meaning every child is different!!! Simple right?! No....not with C.H.E. They have a major issue with viewing each individual child as an individual. And they hold this against parents who try to get them to understand this or try to change their policies/the way they run their school if it does not work for an individual child. Yet children are how they are compensated and the reason they are there in the first place. Terrible on communication and very catty towards anyone who doesn't view their point of view the same. Not all but a lot of rude teachers here. My children have attended another school and I know an all around great school and C.H.E. is not an all around great school. They have major improvements to make!!! Just not too long ago you had a choice to send your children to a different school due to them being so behind. I am not impressed and if had the opportunity again, wouldn't have bought our home in this district if I knew what I know and have been through now.

they need to keep their information on all students accurate. ie if parents arent together they need to have both parents names and address on file and etc. and contact both parents when something arises and not just assume that one parent will tell the other.

although the persons comment below about keep information up to date and contacting both parents is correct which can cause problems with parent involvement in the child's academic abilities, and student academic activities; I don't think a 2 star was needed unless there is more to it than what they stated. Otherwise I would have to say C.H.E. is doing a great job with my son who attends there and his needs for his situation.

We love Clyde Hammrick! This is an awsome school. They have wonderful methods to make learning fun and easy. The staff and faculty are all so kind and helpful. It really shows how much they care about the students. They go out of their way to have fun activities at the school for the whole family. As well as lots of information sent home about extracuricullar activities. Since my daughter has been at Hammrick she has excelled. Thank you!

Hamrick is great! We have children in 3rd and K. Both of the teachers are wonderful and great with the kids. We are so happy with Hamrick. We thought about moving but not now that our kids go to such a great school. Keep up the great work!
