The new principal (Ms. Dyer) is amazing, she goes out of her way to watch every kid in this school before and after pickup. Unfortunately, the CGBE needs to hire new teachers (those with passion to teach not to just take advantage of its residents' tax money). Teaching style is very outdated and I agree with most of the parents, most of the teachers are BULLIES, they lack training and are staying too long in the school. My kids are not learning a lot here, they say it is not fun, it is a command-and-control style of teaching. Most kids here are scared of their teachers.

Our child is in the 4th grade, she has been at NE since kindergarten. She has always been an excellent student with minor health issues. This year her 4th grade teacher, we feel teaches through fear, intimidation and bullying. Her health issues have escalated, her asthma is out of control. She fears this teacher & her teaching methods and she internalizes and her grades are on the decline. We have doctors notes stating this and requesting, for our daughter's health, the easiest solution may just be to place her in another 4th grade class. There are three 4th grade classes with 22 students each. So there are two other classes she could be placed in. The principal, the superintendent and board of education have all denied this request. No reason given and no other solution provided. They are overlooking our childs health issue and problem, as well as this teacher's behavior. It is apparent the students do not come first. We have gone through every layer of this system, we now have to retain an attorney. It seems to me, this has escalated out of control. This is public school, why are our tax dollars paying for this abuse? We could not recommend this school system.

My both girls go to this School and so did my wife. The quality of work they get done is remarkable. I also like contents and the balance between qualitative and quantitative work involved. School needs to focus more on Math and Science, since these two subjects finally largely define kids future.
