My daughter gets bullied EVERY DAY in the halls, in the lunch room and in class. Each and every time I hear that she is being bullied I contact the school and make them aware. Every time they say that they will speak to my child and/or the other student. Every time I ask my child if she was spoken to by anyone or if the child was taken out of class or to the side to be spoken to. Every time I get the same "NO"! They always speak so highly on how they have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and discrimination, but all it is is talk. There is NEVER any follow through! I will be pulling my child and homeschooling her by the time she gets to middle school because I can't stand to see her mental health decline any more. DO BETTER!

My child went here from kindergarten through third grade, had a few problems that never got dealt with. Average school, only thing I liked was the fact they keep that school secure.

We had a choice between sending our Girls to Catskill or Cairo and toured both schools before my oldest started Kindergarten. I have never second thought our decision to send our kids to Catskill and have never been disappointed. The teachers and staff are all wonderful, truly caring about the students. Communication with the teachers and admin has been great. The school puts great emphasis on stopping (& not letting it start) bullying. I wish there was more art and music, but at least they have held on to what they have in this financial/political climate. We have taken advantage of the stellar afterschool program (kids club) and have been super impressed, and my girls love it. The school community is diverse and I think this is important. Kids with challenges are integrated into classrooms with extra teaching assistants when needed, I think this is great for both those students and the kids who learn to interact with them and be accepting of everyone. The facility is relatively new (built in 2007) and is lovely and modern. The library is gorgeous and full of light and the caf /gym/auditorium is a well designed multi-use space. Computer lab starts in Kindergarten.

Administration and teachers truly have the children's needs at heat. They work with parents to find solutions if needed. The school is safe and up to date with technology. It's a tight knit community.

Very unhappy with this school. The Kindergarten and Pre. Kindergarten teachers and staff are more concerned with diagnosing children with "a form of Autism" then teaching them Kindergarten readiness skills! My children will NEVER attend this school.

I have three children attending this horrible school. They separated my twins in kindergarten and intergate my children about their home life when they don't "listen". They use CPS as a tool against parents who have children with behaviors. Thee my are very stereotypical. I will be moving out of this district at the end of this school year.
